Sort of. He’s basically been retired for two years.

Longtime Alabama assistant Burton Burns leaving for job in NFL (BamaOnLine)

Good deep dive read on Coach Burns:
Burton Burns is the hidden force behind Alabama's dominant ground game

Was just about to post what a head scratcher that is since I’ve read where LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, Oregon, and Oklahoma might be interested...then I read the link below where King said he’s not committed to Miami and is still evaluating other schools (LSU, Arkansas, and Maryland)...

Lashley enrolled at Miss State so does that allow Malachi Moore to go ahead and enroll now at Bama?

Alabama transfer Scott Lashley expected to enroll at MSU (247Sports-MSU)

Prayers Leatherwood and Neal stay healthy and best wishes to Lashley, except for Bama vs MSU game of course.

I asked Charlie Potts (BOL) about that and he said, "The current plan is still for him to enroll in the summer."

I'm not sure Neal has the feet for the edge.

I’d be shocked if they move Neal to tackle. I believe they’ll have someone else there

Tackle (not guard) is Neal's natural position. I think he'll be the starter at RT in 2020, then maybe at LT in 2021 after Leatherwood leaves. Cornbread is likely to be one starting guard. The other starting guard could be Dickerson, Eykior or Tommy Brown. Center could be Dickerson, Dalcourt or Eykior.

Personally, I think Neal is more of a natural guard. I don’t think his feet are quick enough for tackle

OTs need to be long-armed and agile (more than quick) with good balance (more like a dancing bear) to pass protect out on the edge. It's Guards (and center) that need to be very quick and block with lower pad level, and faster for pulling and for reaching 2nd level to block LBs. Neal was ranked the #1 OT (not guard) and #7 overall player nationally in the 2020-class Composite Rankings.

I dont believe he’s agile enough. I just don’t see it. Good chance that I’m wrong, but I’m sticking with my opinion
