Will there still be an early signing period?

Of course. There's no need to eliminate it. Players and schools can choose to delay signings until the 2nd signing period begins in early February if they want to.

I hope you’re right.

re: Bama FB Recruiting & Roster
I haven't seen any mention that there's been any consideration whatsoever by the NCAA of not doing the Dec signing period.

Most of Alabama's commits will sign in Dec and most OF those Dec signees will enroll in Jan. They're all flagged in the 2nd post.

re: Bama FB Recruiting & Roster
The only reason that I second guess it all is because of the dead periods. Kirby will cry like a bitch because he can’t pay them in person

The NCAA might extend the Dead Period again for the rest of the 2021 cycle. IOW, frick Kirby.

Dont like what I read about Sorey, we could use that guy. I figured he was all but comitted at one point with CB forecasts with a pretty high liklihood.

I'm not concerned about what Wiltfong wrote about Sorey. If he believes Sorey is really leaning toward UGA instead of Bama, he wouldn't hesitate to place a CB pick for that. But he hasn't done so. Wiltfong has said himself that he'll even place a CB pick based on no more than a kid's post-visit high and just change it later if/when momentum swings in favor of another school. The only Wiltfong predictions and CB picks I care about are if/when it's close to the kid's announcement date. Sorey has 3 CB picks and they're all for Bama. One is by Hank (made in May) who talks with Sorey pretty often and said last week that he still hasn't heard anything to back him off of his CB pick for Sorey to Bama.

re: Bama FB Recruiting & Roster
So how did LSU have that whole group of recruits on campus the other weekend if we're in a dead period that was just extended until forever?

That's not considered an "unofficial visit"?

Thoughts on 2022 in state recruits from the board.

Committed:
WDE - Jeremiah Alexander
ILB - Robert Woodyard

Targets:

RB Emmanuel Henderson - Obviously important to land 5 star in state RB prospect. Staff in heavy contact.

CB Trequon Fegans - Always need elite DBs but Oxford plus Auburn sounding name equals worry.

DT Khurtiss Perry - 1 med confidence crystal ball to Bama from Bud Elliot - listed at 250 currently, crazy disruptive at HS level

OLB TJ Dudley - Looks like he navigates traffic well and can play in space

QB Tanner Baily - Bama legacy, wondering if he has a spot if guys like Ty Simpson or MJ Morris want to come aboard.

SDE Prospects - Two Legacies (probably) and two Huskies. Any thoughts on this group?

SDE - Riley Quick - Guessing Pierce's brother at Hewitt

SDE - Justice Finkley at Hewitt

SDE - Caden Story guessing related to Kristian - Lanett.

Any 2022 in state guys off the radar you think might blow up this year?

He's also an Auburn legacy, FWIW.

Correct.

Also correct.

They can, but they can't have any face to face contact with the coaches.

However, the group that visited LSU a couple weeks ago somehow ended up doing almost all the things they would have on an OV sans trying on jerseys and going to Orgeron's house.

Same thing with Georgia's little get together.

A Dead Period prohibits in-person contact (on or off-campus) between the school's staff and recruits. It doesn't prohibit recruits from visiting the campus, but prohibits them from visiting the athletic facilities. This article I posted explains Dead Period limitations.
