They damn well need to be careful with the capacity decision, because I'll guarantee you that the crowds will come when Oats starts hitting on all cylinders. Another thing to think about is the crowd diversity will be significantly greater than it was 30-40 years ago. that means MORE people interested in coming.

I say capacity needs to be 10,500-11,000

Minimum 12000. Also that rendering of the new design seems to have many bad seats.

Did you ever go to a game while Wimp or CM were the coaches?
If you did, you would not make that statement. Wimp did a lot to stir up the crowd, and they liked it. Wimp didnt get T'd up, but he would run up and down the sidelines and just scowl at the refs. And that would be after he launched his plaid jacket about 10 yards behind him. When CM coached I saw the crowd get several technicals in one game. Everything down there is mild compared to what it was like when Wimp had it going. 15,000 people can make a lot of noise. And back then they let the pep bank play the Hey ___, hey ____ were going to beat the hell out of you. That got people going and the Wimpster wasnt happy when the University shut it down.

Has there still been no news on Petty?
Posted on 2/27/20 at 6:59 pm to biggsc
UA Women’s B-ball is up 16 heading into the 3rd quarter at TAMU(#12 in the country).

Oats says Petty has a similar elbow injury to what Herb suffered in the Penn game, but since he is a shooter unlike Herb he relies more on his elbow. Didn't speculate how long he will be out, but thank got it isn't a broken arm or dislocated elbow like it looked like.
Here's where Oats talk about it if you want to hear his comments.

Same differential heading to the 4th. Are we close to the bubble for women? This would be back to back incredible wins.

They showed a graphic earlier that has us out of the tournament right now. TAMU’s pressure D is getting to us right now, taking low percentage shots. Gonna blow this one if not careful.

And that's another road top-25 win for the ladies.
They just might go dancing if they keep it up.

Quite a run. Does Bama have a shot at the bubble?
Been improving slowly (and taking occasional steps back), under Curry, but at long last a tourney bid would be a huge boost.

First back to back wins versus Top 25 teams in program history (I think), and first win ever against TAMU for UA Women’s Hoops.
