After last night
@AlabamaMBB
has now had a total of 94 games missed by either starters or key reserves. Unbelievable
Oats has to do a better of coaching players not to get injured. Ridiculous. It's Avery all over again.

11th team out. Just gotta win these last 3 games and go into Nashville with a chance. All you can really hope for

I’m still gonna watch and support the team the rest of the year but unless Petty can somehow magically heal up in the next few days I have 0 hope of us making the tourney.

Including the SEC tournament, or regular season only?
ETA: If regular season only, then we're out. I also have low confidence in us winning out and then getting a win in the SEC tourney.

Yea - I just hope they play the rest of the season like they have the last 2. Probably won't be enough, but it'd be good to see that they've figured out how to play with reckless abandon permanently and not just in spurts.

I phrased that wrong. I still have hope that we make it, but I think that without Petty we have a 0% chance.

Saw this on twitter. Pretty pretty good.
One thing lately that has fallen off is his free throw percentage, no way a guy like him should shoot under 80% from the line. Very promising future though excited to watch him grow.

You guys can absolutely win out then get 2 in the tourney.
I think y'all should aim for the 7 seed.. would have you playing game 1 against an Arky or UT type team, then game 2 against AU/UF/LSU. Win those and you're in.

It's theoretically possible, but it isn't likely. Between our injury situation (Petty questionable and Herb's limited offense with the hand) and our general up and down play, winning 5 straight - including Carolina, @ Missouri, Arky/Mizzou/Vols and then Kentucky/Auburn/LSU is...........it's not likely.
Is it possible? Yes. Is there any reason to expect it based on things so far? I don't think so.

You must not have heard that one of our best 3 players likely hyperextended his elbow or worse last night, that’s one top of one of our other three best players playing with a club on his dominant hand. Would take a miracle.

I feel like the season is over, but, I have the same amount of excitement for next season as I did for the Collin Sexton season.
I love our coach, we have a style, and I think Oats could potentially have 9 guys (Ambrose-Hylton, Petty, Herb, Shackelford, Quinerly, Gary, Rojas, Primo, Forbes) who fit his system, & potentially 10 If Kira stays. This season, we really only had 4.5 guys I’d consider Oats guys (Kira, Petty, Herb, Shackelford, & Beetle sort of.
I really feel this time next season we’re at 22-23 wins and comfortably in the tournament, while being known as the team no one wants to see in the tourney
