Are LSU fans really gonna be this insufferable going forward?

This may seem off topic but man some of those guys are ridiculous. Absolutely zero objectivity. One guy said ceedee lamb wouldn’t make the two deep for their WRs. It’s unreal. And apparently beating Florida means they’re better than us. It’s fine to enjoy their season but they make everything about how bama sucks, and tua is overrated (if I see one more comment about tua can’t throw anything but slants) it’s just egregious.

It’s like this every October. No matter what the circumstance, they build up so much bluster ahead of the Bama game that anybody so much as hinting at the mere possibility that they might lose to a team they haven’t beaten in 8 years is instantly mocked and derided.
It makes beating their arse WAY more fun.

Just win and they go away until they find a proxy to cling to vs Bama in the CFPs
Bad part is that they are talented enough to beat Bama this year.
If they do, the release from 8 straight will be unbearable. Even if by a point on a bad call... it will be misearble, as if 8 straight, 4 NCs and 5 SEC titles since 2011 never happened.
The worse part is that if they lose with their best offense and QB ever, I'm afraid it will cause a mental shutdown not seen since 2012; first in Jan and then again in Nov... just a complete, sad meltdown.
I really like LSU and their fans. Good people. The Saban rivalry and shadow have made it absolutely unhealthy

There must have been thousands of "9-6" retort posts to any thread a Bama fan would start.
But, with that it is now considered acceptable for Bama fans to post "9-6" replies.

They are giddy. Let them have their fun. It makes shattering their world all the more fun.
This LSU squad is the best I've seen since Saban left and everyone is feeding them the rat poison of their resume' being the best in the country right now. But what have they reeeaaally done? They beat some directional cupcakes in Ga Southern, Northwestern State and Vandy and a decent G5 school in Utah State. But they are hanging their hat on beating a Texas squad that has supposed to have "been back" for 2 years now. They still aren't back. And on beating an overrated Florida squad in Death Valley at night with a backup QB starting and probably not 100%. Those wins are good, but everyone is acting like they've beaten the Cowboys and Patriots back to back. Get real!

Last year, I bookmarked a bunch of LSU poster threads leading up to the LSU game. After seeing the Rant, I went back today to look at them and it’s remarkable how they do this to themselves every...single...year. I’m really close to bumping a few of them and seeing if anyone would even notice the dates were 2018. LSU could very well beat us but LSU fans getting overconfident in October about beating Bama is as reliable as the leaves changing colors.
The funny thing is when you hear them say this is the first year in a while that they legit could do it. They said the same thing last year....and the year before....and so on. They typically have a more front loaded schedule than we do and we never really have any common opponents up to this point. Thus try to derive all of their analysis through the prism of “scheduling” and their opinion that we’re a paper tiger.

1. You know dang well if a bama fan posted on LSU’s board they would all downvote to oblivion and curse them to get off. 2. Regardless, I respect LSU’s Team. I just find some of you LSU trolls to be incredibly annoying and makes discussing the game not enjoyable at all.

I mean the fact that you are calling it as a meltdown shows you are just as overconfident in your team’s ability to win the game as the LSU fans that posted the threads linked. I truly believe the main difference is the # of fans in this site for each team.

I have Taylor on the run. I asked him to take a simple challenge and he runs off every time he sees me.
If Bama wins the game, simply show up and admit Bama is the better team. If LSU wins, I do the same.
He won't do it. A Bama win and he's going to run off, and I have accused him of being a coward. It's gotten to the point I can show up and say Boo, and he runs off LOL
LSU fans are TIGHT. Y'all have been talking and walking since the season's start. If the team is this tight, and I suspect they might be, they are in trouble.
I'm not even all that worried about them yet. We have time to get ready, let our defense gel and maybe get one or two people back first.
They better remember there's ball to be played.

To me it’s the front 7.
- Can Barmore or Lewis can create consistent pressure?
-Can we maintain gap discipline against the run?
-Can we keep Tua healthy?
If so I will take my chances, especially with the OL looking like it might be gelling.

I said you are setting yourself up, this applies to any fan base but LSU keeps doing it. I’m not over confident at all. But I’m not blowing Joe Burrow and saying what a war machine we are, we can’t lose etc. Go read the garbage being posted.
