There is a reason why Saban ripped new asses out of coaches on missed evaluations, missed commits and stuff like that. He made some adjustments when it came to recruiting and Character plays a huge role in that. There is a reason why we passed on Zach Evans, and We'll see what happens with him in few years.
Georgia, Ole Miss will have same issues that Alabama had.

quote:Still scratching my head over Brian Baker. Saban lets him go he immediately gets an NFL job, what the hell?

ETA: Tweet from Alfano in February. Guy is just talk.

Baker not sure what's up with him, but I thought he wanted to return NFL and didn't want to recuit players on collegiate level. He half-assed the whole season.

It tells me that Alabama had to "settle" for these "Five Stars" after the ones they were really after chose Clemson and UGA.

Linebackers are the main ones we lost to Georgia and we also lost a big one to Tennessee. We lost multiple battles with Kirby but the 5 star linebackers we lost two cycles ago would have started last year and had growing pains but they were beasts and much better than than the two we started.
