Best of luck to him, I think that this is a good, low pressure type of place to get used to calling plays as a DC.

Thsee coaching moves are killing our recruiting man. Everyone is enamored with the Saban "formula." Not sure how we kept Kirby, Bo Davis, etc together so long, but we need another stretch like that.

It seems having young guys doesn't even matter. As soon as they have 3-4 years under Saban, someone is knocking to offer them a promotion.

Seems like the staff will have a lot of turnover after the season. Daboll and Dunbar probably headed back to the NFL.

Throw the bank at Corey Raymond.

Kirby was very, very wise in his career choices. He sat back earning non-P5 head coaching money and waited for offers where he would have the resources needed to succeed at a very high level. I'm just glad Auburn didn't give him whatever he wanted there because the recruiting wars with him at UGA are going to be bad enough. In state. sheesh.

Couldn't agree more.

Pete Golding will be DBs coach. Louisiana ties as well.
I guess Alabama will be in the market for either a co-DC or just ILBs coach.
I have no idea if Tosh will get the title of DC to himself.

I think we should always expect 3-4 to leave. It is pretty much the average the last 11 years.

Hopefully we can replace him with an ace recruiter.

Insider on BOL:

Ive been talking wit a few ppl in PM- his targetted replacement is a homerun and the next likely option is Sam P who would kill it in Louisiana

Following the chips that will fall in the NFL soon. McDaniels taking a head coaching job. Daboll possibly to New England as OC.

So the rumors were true. Good luck to him and much success @ Col St
Losing two top recruiters in Ansley and Pruitt sucks tho.
Big ouch

Losing Ansley sucks from a recruiting standpoint, no doubt. Probably doesn’t help our chances landing these elite corners in this year’s class either.

I'd come to play for Sam Ponder!
