If you're talking about Diggs on Seattle, that's Quandre Diggs.

Trayvon Diggs plays for the Cowboys and was put on IR earlier today.

I was watching the Seattle game and posted about Quandre Diggs. He made a couple of clutch pass breakups late in the game.

I just realized Marcel Dareus was no longer in the NFL.

His career definitely didn't live up to my expectations

He was an all-pro in 2014, played for 8 seasons. What did you expect?

For a top 5 pick to still in the league after 8 seasons. He hasn’t been a good player from 2017 onwards. Top 5 picks are expected to be HOFers or borderline guys. He started off like Geno Atkins but didn’t continue it for long. For me, it was surprising how fast he went from elite player to average in 2 seasons.

I agree with this, was so disappointed that he chose to just take the money and ease himself out of the league.
He could have been a superstar an All-Timer. Did not have the heart a la Rolando.

I wonder how many top 5 picks have 8 or more year careers, and are all-pros at least once in their careers? I am not saying that you are wrong or being unreasonable, but now I am just genuinely curious?

Eh. Any given draft usually only has at most one HOFer go in the top 5. Dareus' draft class and several years onward

2. RG3
3. Trent
4. Matt Khalil
5. Justin Blackmon

2013

3. Dion Jordan
4. Lane Johnson
5. Ziggy Ansah

2014

1. Jadeveon Clowney

4. Sammy Watkins
5. Khalil Mack

2015

3. Dante Fowler
4. Amari
5. Brandon Scherff

2016 (Another great top-5)

2. Wentz
3. Joey Bosa

1. Myles Garrett
2. Mitch Trubisky

I’m not sure either. I do remember at one point people thought he was best defensive player in that draft class and wanted him over Von Miller.

That’s why I said expected to be. All of those guys are drafted with the expectations of being great players.

It’s just surprising with Dareus because he started off pretty good, but his play dropped off for no observable reason. Unlike those other guys, he showed he had the talent. He also didn’t have issues like Eddie Lacy with eating, off field issues like McClain, or a slew of injuries like Reuben Foster. He kind of just dropped off from playing elite by the age of 26.

Well he did have some off the field issues. Drugs, and illegal street racing. And he has had some injuries as well.

Marcell was just too easy going, he got that huge contract and it did him in.

I don't want to say he's lazy, but his personal trainer in high school would mentioned how he wasn't the easiest to motivate. Probably just wasn't anything pushing him farther anymore.

Great dude though in my experiences, he made 300+ look good...

Anfernee Jennings starting as a rookie for the Patriots (even with the opt outs) is probably the most surprising thing to me.
