Derrick Henry will be in the top 10 giving Alabama 7 alums in the NFL top 100 (the most ever for Bama). Derrick was 99 on the list last year, not a bad jump. Alabama had 6 alums in the 2019 edition of the top 100. CJ Mosley and Eddie Jackson fell off the list this year while Marlon Humphrey, Josh Jacobs and Minkah Fitzpatrick made the list for the first time.

Tua passed his Dolphins physical and will practice with no limitations from his hip injury, coach Brian Flores says.

He’s back.

7 players from Alabama ranked in the top 100 NFL players of 2020, voted on by the players.

3 RBs - Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram, Josh Jacobs
2 WRs - Julio Jones, Amari Cooper
2 DBs - Minkah Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey

Derrick Henry came in at #10.

Eddie Jackson has a major gripe here. How he isn't on that list is beyond me. The guy is among top 2 paid at his position for a reason.

Because he didn’t make as many flashy plays this year and the Bears as whole took a step back. Players probably assumed he did too. With primarily coverage guys like Jackson it can be easy to be forgotten (unless you make a name for a few seasons) because your job is to ensure attention isn’t brought to yourself.

These lists are popularity contests. It’s why some shitty QBs like Josh Allen made it while the only center that made it barely made it.

I agree with you about how the list being a popularity contest about flashy plays but that in part is what makes the Budda Baker selection so odd. Budda is a great player but he didn't have any flashy plays on a 5-10-1 team, he is mainly a run stopper. Eddie did a more impressive job on an 8-8 team and he was ranked 30th on the list the year before. Taking Eddie out of it, I just don't see what Budda did that was so compelling.

So far 4 former Bama players have opted out of playing in the 2020 NFL season: Donta Hightower, CJ Mosley, Chance Warmack and Andre Smith.

Add Christian Miller, he's claiming "high risk" and opting out.

They haven't nailed down a deadline for this week last time I checked, but the floodgates are gonna open day of IMO.
