Alabama beats Georgia.

The Tide's 197.7 is a road high for the year. (Plus we did it in the house Suzanne built) I'm happy.

Agreed. Senior Night vs Iowa State just became huge.

Not because it's a big opponent or anything, but we need to finally start trending up.

If we can build on Sunday and flirt with 198 on Friday, then it's full steam ahead to a title race.

It was 147.6 to 147.450 going into rotation 4. Bama has nailed all three floor routines and ISU has had 1 fall on beam so far.

ISU ends with a 196.6
Bama will end with a minimum of 196.975 with Aja Sims left on floor.

That score's not going to get it done postseason.

Agreed, would have been a great score without that beam rotation, which is either a fluke or worrying since we've been one of the more solid beam teams in the country so far.

SECs are next weekend. We're already at "Put Up or Shut Up" time.

Alabama has 9 SEC Titles, tied with Florida for the second most behind UGA's irritating 16. LSU has 1 from back in the 80s and looks to be THE favorite to win this year for the first time in decades.

EDIT

if you take out that counted 9.3 on beam and replace it with a pedestrian clean 9.825, you get a solid score of 197.625.

Off to Jacksonville and our 10th SEC Title!

We welcome back Mackenzie Brannen, whose been out all year with injury and was becoming a force her freshman year. Keely McNeer also comes back from her 2 week sit out due to a hand injury.

Good luck gals!

Alabama fields a 197.400

Comes in third for the first times since 2007.

Guys, going to be honest. A National Title this year is going to take something special. But I take solace in the words of Sarah Patterson:

"Our goal, every year, is to be on the floor the final night of the season."

We have the talent and ability to make the post season and to be in the top 6 on the last night and that's really all you need. If we win the championship, it's going to be an upset.

We're just pretty inconsistent. One meet Sims puts up a 9.9 and Childers goes 9.75. The next Childers goes 9.9 and Sims goes 9.8. It seems like we can't get everyone to have a good meet on the same night. Also, I haven't seen many of the difficulty additions Dana promised in the early season, but I'm no expert.

If we can make the Super Six, I think that'd be a successful season.
