NCAA Gymnastics week 7
Was looking forward to seeing where Bama rose to in the rankings this week after that historic meet last Friday.....
If I’m reading this correctly, Bama actually dropped a spot to #7... (from the SEC: Florida #1; LSU remained #2; Arkansas replaces Bama at #6).
Bama competes at Arkansas this Friday and comes home to compete against Florida the next Friday.

The Crimson and White review of the gymnastics meet with LSU:
Alabama gymnastics vaults to new season high
No. 6 Alabama Gymnastics seized the spotlight and put the No. 2 LSU Tigers in its shadow.

I don’t understand how Arkansas who scored lower than us last Friday now has an an average score higher than us. How does that math work out?

It’s not easy to follow and I’m still finding my way. The link below is the site where the NCAA posts the weekly standings. Looks like Arkansas was already ahead of us last week. Michigan leapfrogged us - from 8th to 5th.
The ladies need to take care of business this week and next (with the SEC tournament still yet to come). I believe only the top 8 teams make it to Nationals after the NCAA made changes a few years back. Previously it was 12 teams.
