Alabama Future OOC Schedules

- 2018 set
- 2019 has 1 slot left to fill (the pre-Auburn slaughter)
- 2020 has 2 slots left (no big games scheduled)
- 2021 has 2 slots left (Miami scheduled)
- nothing scheduled 2022+
2018
9-1 : Louisville (Orlando)
9-8 : Arkansas State
9-29 : ULL
11-17 : Citadel
2019
8-31 : Duke (Atlanta)
9-7 : New Mexico State
9-21 : Southern Miss
2020
9-12 : Georgia State
9-26 : Kent State
2021
9-4 : Miami (Atlanta)
TBA : Mercer
2020 is interesting. The neutral games in Houston and Atlanta are filled but the Dallas and Orlando games are not. Below are P5 teams with an opening in their OOC and the 1st week of their schedule.
Open and no real clear reasons not to
- Syracuse
- North Carolina
- Minnesota
- Northwestern
- Southern Cal
Open, but would be shocked if they did due to other OOC schedule games
- Georgia Tech (playing UCF, ND, UGA)
- Oklahoma (playing Tennessee week 2)
- Penn State (playing @ Virginia Tech week 2)
If I had to guess who 2020 is, I'd say we play either North Carolina in Orlando or Southern Cal in Dallas again. 2020 is also the year Georgia rolls back onto the schedule at home.
2018 - vs Missouri
2019 - @ South Carolina
2020 - vs Georgia
2021 - @ Florida
2022 - vs Vanderbilt
2023 - @ Kentucky
2024 - vs South Carolina
2025 - @ Missouri

That Duke game is pathetic. We are currently only playing 1 real OOC opponent per year and Duke should not be an option.

Yep, and unless we work hard to figure something out it is going to be the only game in 2019 too. We are all slotted up with only the pre-Auburn week available for a SoCon team.

Louisville would have been interesting if Lamar Jackson stuck around
Other than Miami, list is shite.

I want Nebraska in one of the Kickoff games.

Yea - it's junk.
The only way the whole "always play a neutral site game and 3 shite games" semi-works with people is if the neutral site game is Florida State, Michigan, Southern Cal.......even Virginia Tech, Clemson, West Virginia, Wisconsin. But Duke and Louisville? With nothing but crap surrounding them?
That's nonsense. And we will rightly get lots of shite for it too from the national media.

Agree with that George.....
The neutral sites that I have been to: Michigan and USC were awesome. Blue blood against blue blood even though we blew both out.
Wisconsin was pretty meh.....wasn't even close to being a sell out

Is it that we are having trouble finding teams to play us? It's basically an automatic loss for the opponent. We derailed FSU's season before it even began last year.

That Duke game is pathetic. Embarrassed that we scheduled it.

So whats the deal here? Are teams turning us down on the neutral site games? Would not blame them.

I have to think that is the case. Which big name program wants to step up and face Bama and get a big fat "L" to start the season? and then your behind the 8-ball as far as trying to get to the playoffs. Bama is money in these neutral site games that start the season. Aggie, AU, LSU, Georgia, all have some great series lined up. Why can't we get one too?
Of course you will have the Rantards, and idiots like Cowherd and Stephen A Smith saying: "HURRRRR.....why doesn't Bama schedule any good teams?" "Soft schedule........Bama doesn't play anyone DURRRRR"

I was so hoping for a game with Nebraska in 2020.
I think Bama has a contract to play in Dallas in 2020.
I'm guessing it will be Northwestern or Minnesota in 20.
USC doesn't want anymore of Bama.

Yeah, we had an away game with Duke back in 2010 which was fine considering we had a game with Penn State as well...but with no other P5 on the schedule, not good...
Then again, next year's Louisville game doesn't look so good either, especially with Lamar Thomas leaving early...

Would love to see Nebraska. We haven't played them since the 70's

I would be OK giving Duke a game (and a big payday) if they would reciprocate with a home and home in basketball.

Make there be a 9 game conference schedule and 3 big time OOC games

We should play a game in Hawaii. I know it makes no sense, but I'd like a good excuse to go.

Played there in 2002 and 2003. Don’t ever want to have those reasons again.
