Just need to get the right side of the line settled. Cohen will likely start at right guard. Right tackle is the only real question because Neal, Ekiyor and Owens are definite starters. Having Kendall Randolph back is a big deal because of his versatility and experience.

This screams offseason clickbait. Love Metchie but it's hard to actually explain how he's better than top 10ish picks.

Randolph will never be a starter on the line. He is just to small.

Makes sense. People use hyperbole a lot more today than in the past. Everything RIGHT NOW is the BEST EVER!!!!!!!!! It's just the times we live in now. Leary's high school coach compared him to Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, and I think Dez Bryant in an interview a couple months ago. Pretty high praise. Shoot, when asked who Slade reminded me of in high school going to college my immediate thought was Josh Reed. I prefaced it by I in no way expect him to touch that level, but that's the comparison I saw.

If someone wants to praise a kid, GOOD. Hopefully it builds them up. We could all use some of that energy.

Agreed that he won't be the starting right tackle but is good as a short yardage blocker and has a lot of experience in big game situations. I think that Pierce Quick could be a similar player.

A lot may depend on Young.

IMO, Young will not be an issue. Not saying he is Mac or Tua, though he may be in a different way, but BY appears to be what Alabama needs and is more than enough as the QB.

I think Young's style of mobility will help give the Oline time to gel if they need it. He just needs to make sure he doesn't expose himself and take a shot he shouldn't considering his size.

Or maybe making room for some new players, maybe?

If we have cleared the 85 limit then it's always possible

Dont believe this clears the 85? I show Bama has and unofficial scholarship # of 87 *not counting Brob or Chris.
If SEC clears the intraconference transfers for To'o To'o and if JTT chooses Bama that would push back to 89
*there is some discussion about Keenan may Greyshirt because of his late season knee injury???
still need a few guys to make the decision (imagine the SEC rule may be holding some back???)

If we include the six 2020 academic seniors who were redshirt juniors eligibility-wise (Tennison, Randolph, Mathis, Ray, Allen, Wright) as counters toward '21's 85 limit, Jameson Williams and Tim Keenan, and exclude guys in the portal, then the projected total counters = 89 (not 87). But with Bama still aiming to take Tóotóo and Tuimoloau, I'm not convinced those 6 seniors are counters toward '22's 85 limit. We'll see.

Details: Roster/Depth

Matt Miller says Metchie is better than Devonta or Waddle.
