He will now earn $2.5 million.

Cecil Hurt

Defensive coordinator Pete Golding also got a small raise to $1.25 million from $1.1 million.

at where big time CFB is when a raise of $150K annually is a "small raise".

Quick nuggets on Alabama's wide receivers... (BOL staff)

Alabama added three receivers during the 2020 recruiting cycle in Javon Baker, Traeshon Holden and Thaiu Jones-Bell, and that’s the order the freshmen have worked in the team’s walk-throughs. Baker continues to look like he will push for playing time.

While Jones-Bell might be third among the freshmen, he isn't lacking in speed. He recently beat John Metchie in a post-workout race.

Another wide receiver not named Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith that has generated some buzz during these workouts has been Slade Bolden. The Crimson Tide will need guys like this to step up with having to replace Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III.

Also going to be interesting to see who shares back up punt return duties with waddle being part of the first unit Wr core. You have to think Slade,Xavier,Metchie and maybe even Branch or Bell. All getting a shot as Waddle back up PR.

Does anyone else find it a little odd that the B1G has announced they will start play Sept 3rd? If they do something similar to the SEC with a bye in the middle and at the end, their season will be over in early to mid Nov.

I'm excited to see our younger WR's behind Smitty and Waddle. I think a couple of them have star potential, and a couple others have a chance to be really great role guys.

They didn't do that initially but attempting to divide it by historic competitiveness was a disaster too.
