- 8 of the Top 9 recruited players who have left Alabama were drafted in the Top 40 picks. Dylan Moses was an UDFA (LaBryan Ray was the 10th and is still on the Alabama roster for 2021).

- 2 QBs drafted in the Top 15 picks
- 3 WRs drafted in the Top 15 picks

- Overall Record (to date) : 51-4 (31-3 SEC)
- 2 National Championships

- 3 Top 2 finishes
- 4 Top 10 finishes
- 5 AP All Americans
- 1 Heisman Trophy Winner (DeVonta Smith)
- 1 Heisman Trophy Runner Up (Tua Tagovailoa)
- 1 Heisman Trophy 3rd Place (Mac Jones)

8 members of the 2017 recruiting class will be on the 2021 roster.

I mean we can call it OPI if you want, but he was the guy who benefitted most from the refs letting Clemson WRs run block on pass plays all night in the championship game, including on his game winning TD catch. In terms of their individual achievements the two classes are pretty equal. Both had a handful of All Americans, a Heisman winner, several 1st round picks, major award winners, etc., but 2 championships for 2017 vs. 1 for 2013 clearly puts 2017 over the top.
