Here is a great article with gifs, giving examples of how good Tua is.
The Score

If anyone has the guts to start a thread about this article, go ahead. I don't have the heart for it today

You are right. I ain't running Jalen down either, just stating facts. I can't help but be stressed out because I fear that Saban will try to make a two quarterback system work out of loyalty.

Worrying about it and fearing that Saban won't make Tua the #1 QB won't accomplish anything except to cause yourself stress. And posting as much as you do about why Saban should pick Tua won't impact Saban's decision.

This thread has followed suit of the last several years. The season is about to start and the hand wringing starts with a good fuss. We are all family here so lets all take a step back, breathe and get ready for the season.
I quit worrying about all things Bama when Saban was hired and it has been a great 11 years. RTR!

I can honestly say that if we give Jalen too many reps in game I will just tune out for the rest of the season. For once, under the Saban era, I would like to see us with a high powered, unstoppable offense and this team has that potential with Tua at the helm. You can say that we were high powered in 2014 with Blake, but that team didn't have a 3rd of the talent on offense that this team has. We have two 5* RBs, four 5* WRs, an offensive line so good that we are making that number one tackle from the 2017 class play guard.......the damn boy was move to fricking guard we are so loaded. Please, Saban, just let Tua loose and let the offense dominate and break and set new records across the board. :prayer:

One of the biggest takeaways I had from reading that wasn’t about Tua. It was a great point about Jalen. He often has refused to throw beyond the sticks. That’s why we’ve had an average at best passing game, and that’s why the best teams we played have been able to grind our offense to a halt. It’s simple football, no threatening passing game means the defense just has to stop the run. We have the talent that most defenses still can’t stop us, but the Auburn’s and Georgia’s can, and did last year. If Jalen still won’t throw the ball down the field, and if he can’t do it effectively, I don’t know how we can expect any better results against those better teams this year.

I’ve said to before, and I will say it again, I love Jalen. He is everything you want in a player when it comes to attitude and behavior. That being said, and emphasized, I just have doubts that he gives the team the best chance to win a national championship given the struggles we have seen him have throwing the ball consistently and making our passing game effective.

True buddy but you know me. I can't help myself. I think I will try to give it a rest bug I hope all his coach speak is to force Petrino to practice and game plan for both quarterbacks knowing that Tua is his guy.

LINK ]Alabama practice report: Injured RB makes more progress (al.com)

Running back Najee Harris was in full uniform for the first time since he was sidelined with a foot injury following the first scrimmage of fall camp.
quote:

Eight days before its season opener against Louisville, Alabama returned to the field in full pads.

The temperature outside was 90 degrees on a sunny day in Tuscaloosa.

Here are some observations from the limited access period provided to the media:

-- Raekwon Davis left practice briefly after consulting with head trainer Jeff Allen. The defensive lineman appeared to be grimacing and walking with a slight limp. He came back before the viewing period ended but wasn't participating.

-- Najee Harris was out of a black, non-contact jersey and was spotted doing a cone drill. It was an encouraging sign for the running back who suffered a foot injury earlier this month during the team's first scrimmage of fall camp.

-- Redshirt senior defensive lineman Johnny Dwight was not spotted for the second straight day. The reason for his absence is unclear.

-- Alabama's first-team offensive line remained static. Jedrick Wills was at right tackle, Alex Leatherwood at right guard, Ross Pierschbacher at center, Lester Cotton at left guard and Jonah Williams at left tackle. Chris Owens was at left tackle with the second-team unit.

-- The back seven of Alabama's nickel package went as follows: Trevon Diggs and Saivion Smith at outside cornerback, Shyheim Carter at Star, Mack Wilson and Dylan Moses at linebacker and Deionte Thompson and Xavier McKinney at safety. Carter was grouped with the safeties at the beginning of practice and lined up on the back line in a nickel configuration populated by reserves.

So for all of those people talking about how this is football - not some hollywood drama, you're wrong. To Saban, this isn't about being a ruthless winner, it's about making the team happy, and rewarding "team guys" with playing time, even if it's not in the best interest of winning and getting better.

Of course, this is limited. Saban only does this kind of stuff to the extent that he thinks it won't affect the W/L column. He plays as much player politics as he thinks he can get away with.

Giving Hurts playing time doesn't help us be more effective on offense, nor does it help our offense to gel and form an identity, but it does make the team happy to see a guy like Jalen trot out there as a team mascot - sort of like when Auburn put Kodi Burns at WR.

This is the single most incorrect statement in the history of human endeavor on the internet.

do you see a play to start the game where both QB's trot out and one lines up under center and the other is an H back

Not to refuel the flame but I to have taken in a couple practices and no it’s not close between Jalen and Tua.
