Just wondering if any of you happen to know the status of the long ago proposed Eastern bypass around Tuscaloosa.
I know it's been met with concerns around the environmental impact at Hurricane Creek and other areas.
Further, there still is Coral Industries located smack in the middle of the proposed route and also with some of the growth around the Sokol Park / Rice Mine Road areas, I'm wondering if this bypass will ever happen.
To be honest, I wish it wouldn't happen, but I'm sure there are those in that area that would like to see it. Or maybe not.

I think the main focuses are in other areas currently. Some of the next big projects will be at 20/59 @ McFarland, Skyland/69, widening the Woolsey Finnell Bridge, and the roundabouts at the 5th St/Laureen Wallace.
