An interesting find on why people respond differently to the coronavirus.

Two days in a row under 1000 new cases... looks like we are about to wrap this thing up.

That’s good news but let’s not let down our guard just yet.

This.

There will be an uptick when colleges start back. Hopefully the regular population numbers keep falling so it doesn't stress the system too much.

Back up to 1,626 new cases today so it didn't even take that long.

Wednesdays are always big numbers, likely because of some quirk with processing of tests. That's why it's always better to use a rolling average. Case in point:
7/29: 1.9k
7/22: 1.9k
7/15: 1.8k
7/8: 1.8k
7/1: 1.2k

It looks bad on its face, but it's the smallest number of Wednesday cases we've seen in over a month.

Yea, cases do seem to be trending down overall but today's reported cases are the highest per capita in the United States, so really in the entire first world. Maybe slightly premature to say it's past.

No, probably not, but you’re going to feel like someone violated you via your nostril and touched your brain. And it’s not going to be pleasant.

If you get Hydrochloroquine, you’ll be good very soon.

I’ve never understood why they have to stick a 8in long Q-tip up your nose to find it?

Only reason I ask is that that want you to wear a mask to keep from spreading it. Why not give you something to make you sneeze and catch the droplets?

If it’s that easy to spread by sneezing or breathing why do they have to dig to fricking China to find it?

The test for Covid isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. Uncomfortable for just a second. Makes your eyes water. That's about it.

I would wager this is happening in every state where students are returning to campus. UNC had students move back in last weekend and already have filled the isolation dorm.

Students had to sign a agreement when returning to campus that requires them to where a mask at all times even outside walking.

So stupid. You don't need to wear a mask if you're social distancing.

Tested negative for flu and Covid . He thinks could be false negative bc fever is so high (103). HeArt rate got up to 150 so had to do chest X-ray, bloodwork, EKG...I told him sticking a q tip to my brain, fever, breathing through a mask would make HR go up ... think they were milking my insurance . Anyway got to quarantine for 3 days and if still have fever, get retested . Very uncomfortable test but not as bad as I had heard

I agree. Yesterday opened my eyes to the fact that I am going to be miserable teaching for 8 hours a day in a mask

Problem is young college students tend to demonstrate they are that smart at times.

The University of Louisville dismissed three members of the men’s soccer team and suspended three others related to a party off-campus on Saturday that led to nearly 30 cases of coronavirus within the school’s athletic department.

The student athletes who were dismissed and had organized the party had prior team violations, according to a statement, which also said the party had led to the temporary shutdown of voluntary activities and preseason practice sessions for four sports,

That's what I've found too, those masks that are great in short bursts don't always translate to comfortable long stretches, especially if you're occasionally going outside in the heat.

I think it has a lot to do with the material, and I seem to prefer the ones with adjustable ear straps.

Have you tried a buff/neck gaiter?
