The half a million price tag would have been money well spent towards a new arena but other than that, I like it

I agree. I like it, but also have sticker shock at the cost to move and place it. Maybe one of those huge helicopters could move it for less. I hope they'll seek competitive bids for moving it.

It looks pretty cool TBH....$450,000 sounds like a lot to move it. Probably the construction costs to move it and install it.

I don't care about elephant statues. I bet the kids like them so I'm ok with them. Sounds like a lot of money but it really isn't for a SEC school now. But if I had my way, I would lose elephant trumpet noise in BDS everytime we score. We score too much for that now.

It's going to be the centerpiece of a plaza. I'm sure a significant portion of the cost is landscaping/hardscaping.

I mean I want a new arena too, but let's not kid ourselves and act like this $450,000 will be the reason it doesn't happen.
Hopefully after another great year some more of the money folks will start writing their checks for it.

I like it, and honestly I wish we had more statues. I remember visiting Ivy League schools when my brother was college exploring and noticing how many monuments and statues were dotted all over the place. Gave a sense of history, grandiose and prestige.

My first thought when I saw this on twitter was an eye roll that it was going to be super Bammerish.
But that actually looks..........really good? I like it a lot. And Tuska is a fantastic name.
