In a pretty shocking development, Jarell Martin is announcing tomorrow. He's really only been to LSU so that's where he'll more than likely pick.

Didn't think anyone but LSU ever had a shot with him. It had seemed like he was going to let the entire process play out though. He is probably being pressured by friends/family.

I mean do we really want him though. What is he a tweener 3/4. Sort of like Hale? Rather use the offer for someone else, thats if we have someone else.

Yep. This class is going to be a huge dud if we end up with just 2 players and no guards.
ETA: Although, he said he wasn't going to sign during the early period, so I guess he could end up flipping.

Greg O said that he changed his mind in his last article on him. He now plans to sign early. What a turn of events. Its sucks being a player's second option. If we landed half of our 2nd place finishes this class and the last, we would have had a title contending team in a couple years.

No kidding. We are just going to have to get it done on the court and hope that some of our shitty arse "I only care about football" fans hop on the bandwagon. I say this because you know that coaches at basketball first schools are telling kids we are recruiting that they will never matter to our fans because football is always going to be #1 in Tuscaloosa.

Here's a free Marquette site Article that says their source thinks its more 50-50 with Bama and MU and thinks JJ is still somewhat undecided. This article even refers to Bama as the favorite. I think Meyer may have jumped the gun saying its "expected". He said he had two reliable sources that said they are confident he picks Marquette. I know of a few people with sources close to Bama that were confident Bama would get him just a few days ago and even more since the Marquette visit. I would definitely stay tuned tomorrow to hear who he picks.

I've never really understood this mindset. Could more UA fans support hoops? Sure but they've averaged over 10K in attendance since the early 80's so they get plenty of support.
