@AdamZagoria: @TheRecruitScoop @JayhawkSlant Boo Williams tells @SNYtv it's Alabama and Kansas for 2013 PG Anthony Barber.
They said he's cut all other schools from consideration.

And now Evan Daniels from Scout is saying this: Scout.com's No. 3 rated point guard in the 2013 class is only considering Kansas, Alabama and Louisville. Barber confirmed that he was down to that trio Friday evening.

I am going to just assume we won't get him and save myself from the potential disappointment. It really does sound like he is particularly close with Grant though.

I love being disappointed so I'll say he's a 100% lock!
Him throwing Louisville in there does concern me a bit.

Alabama had their team camp this weekend. Bibb County's young stud from 2015 was there. South Miami (Antravious Simmons) was there. Hazel Green was there too but Lewis Sullivan was not playing. Another school was St Augustine from NOLA (Craig Victor 2014). Always good to get guys on campus

I'll bet Rutgers.
Surprised Pitt was not a finalist. Down to Rutgers, Seton Hall, and Northwestern.

Who is Jaren Sina?
Just kidding. I'm not going to insult the kid, but I never held out hope we'd get him back once he decomitted.

Agree. Much rather have Barber. That's pretty obvious though.

2013 Gill St. Bernard's PG Jaren Sina is expected to commit to Northwestern, sources told @SNYtv. Great get for Bill Carmody & Freddie Hill.

Sina officially committed to Northwestern. Great academics, but basketball... I'm surprised he didn't commit to some bball centric Big East school

As long as we get Barber, I won't care about Sina. I'm not sure he's athletic enough to run our system although a pure shooter is something nice to have.

Some analyst said hes NW's first top 100 kid in a decade. When he decommitted, thought he left for the more appealing schools that started chasing after him when his stock rose. Guess I was wrong. Gotta respect him for it...

New Rivals 150 is out, I haven't really looked at it much, but Barber is up from 13 to 9, Taylor down to 44, Hale up to 82 and now a four star. The guy from Baton Rouge is now a 5 star.

ESPN listed some standouts for the 2016 class' fab frosh camp, and of the 11 they listed 2 were from Alabama, Josh Langford of course, and lesser known player Cameron Diggs. Here is what they said about each:
quote:
Josh Langford (Huntsville, Ala./Madison Academy) 2016, SG, 6-4, 210 pounds He is a powerful athlete who is simply too strong and too athletic for kids in his age group right now. He has solid skills, is a terror in transition, has good vision and is a good passer. He will need to make sure his body does not get too bulky and increase his skill level (especially his shot consistency), but Langford is a dominant force and one of best in the class right now.
quote:
Cameron Diggs (Mobile, Ala./Blount) 2016, PF/C He is a long and raw post player who has a good touch on his shot out to about 12 feet. He needs to develop a post game, but right now he is one of the better prospects in the 2016 class as far as big men are concerned.
