SIAP, but Cecil had a tweet earlier today saying he would be really surprised if Rojas isn't with the team next year. I feel like Rojas will be back.

He may not contribute much, but I think we all thought the same about Alex Reese and Oats and company turned him into a pretty solid bench piece. Same thing could happen with Rojas. Don't think he will get major minutes, but he could contribute.

In terms of roster continuity it makes the most sense, but I think Wilson has more of a ceiling than KAH and certainly more than Rojas. I really hope that we don't push out KAH or Miles just to keep Rojas for one more year.

I think we will make Rojas decline his redshirt year and he will be a Super Senior that won’t count toward scholarship limits

That would at least prevent us from losing anyone else, but I don't see how it benefits Rojas. Barring a bad injury situation he shouldn't get minutes next year outside of garbage time.

I think Oats likes Rojas’ defensive intensity. He can throw him in there to get in someone’s head and use him as a foul man.

This feels sucky to me, but I mean a tough decision was going to have to be made one way or another. Hope for the best for Wilson.

Well, frick. Is it too late to trade Rojas? I'd trade 3 Rojas' for one Wilson, and I don't even think Wilson was going to get a lot of minutes.

13 basketball scholarships exist, and they should go to the best 13 basketball players Oats can find. A tough decision had to be made, end of story. There’s nothing to see here.

I mean if that's all it takes I'd quit my job today, go back to school, and walk on. I'm in my mid-30s, out of shape, and haven't played a game of organized basketball in 17 years but I can talk a massive amount of shite and I make my 5 fouls count.

Most thought Wilson would make a big jump this year with it being his 2nd year playing but he actually seems to have regressed some, his stats last year were better.

I wish him the best but I like all 3 of our recent signees better.

He could stay in Juco another year and sign with us again next year.

Makes you wonder see how it happened. Did he ask to be released because he didn’t see a clear path to playing time. Or did Oats have a “man to man” conversation with him? Like the one he had with Galin Smith. Either way, it really sucks for the young man. You know there will be a “program” or two that will use this on the recruiting trail.
