you save Upchurch in case you somehow need him for a third game

So how many teams made the college World Series before we threw the first pitch of the series? 3 or 4? Ridiculous start time for game 1, imo and then delaying hour start today…smh

I mean you could still technically use him for game 3 but I’m not sure why you would want to if he blows a 5 run lead in game 2.

Just an observation but Lemm broke his finger because of his hand placement while catching. I noticed his replacement; another bench player came in doing the same thing. Last night I noticed that our starting catcher had his hand placed behind his leg as the pitch was coming in. So, the question is, why are our catchers not all being trained the same proper technique so as not to get hurt.
It was hit and miss with the other teams that I watched on how they protect their throwing hand while catching. To me this is lesson 101 at the little league level.

I caught for many years and it is natural to let your arm hang down outside your leg which pretty much protects it from being hit with the ball.

People just don’t receive it with an arm wrapped around their back like the old days anymore . Just not natural , especially with the one knee technique most use today . Not as safe but rarely comes into play

If we win, I’d think we’d play Sat at 2pm in Omaha. They’ll save UGa/Texas for prime time (but that goes head to head with the nba finals so who knows).
Troy announcer mentioned they play Friday.

You just have to show them at the gate.

To the NCAA morons who pushed the start time into the rain and the kept us there 5 hours before postponing it into a work day.

So I would just need a screenshot of a ticket in theory?
They need to open it to the public or attendance will be awful.
Anyone that went yesterday and can’t go today want to send me a screenshot of two?

Yea, anybody have a screenshot they can share? Thinking of riding over.

Hell we can all share the same two stubs and figure out seating when we get there. I’m sure there will be plenty of open seats.

Do we think we'll have a decent crowd today?
Posted on 6/8/26 at 10:44 am to ChauvinisticPigAttit
I’m here and the crowd is pretty barren
