I don't think the bracket has been released, but the "marquee" teams are Alabama, Duke, Arizona, and Rutgers.

Norfolk State and East Carolina are participating. Not sure who else will be a part of it.

Well that's gonna be a rough November and December. Hopefully we can get 8 or 9 wins out of that but I doubt it unless Retin suddenly becomes Russell Westbrook.

ETA: Welcome aboard Cheese Grits.

To say I'm worried about our basketball team this year is a huge understatement. Hopefully, they come out and surprise me. You never know until they get out there and play I guess.

There's a question mark on everyone but Releford. If two or three guys step up we will be OK but Grant has a horrible track record of player development.

Thank you for the welcome

The beauty of basketball is the greater flexibility to alter the OOC games. With the mandate from Birmingham it will be good to see SEC schools scheduling better OOC and Bama will have "names" coupled with "hot" teams to make this a good fall lineup. Even if it seems rough it will be a good long term move in attracting viewers outside the SEC (like kids watching ESPN) and hopefully long term it will mean more positive thoughts in the future.

Even if Xavier and UCLA are down it looks good and with the move by X to the Big East will help the SoS come tournament time. Even a game like Robert Morris will get press because of the NIT last year. Talking heads are talking heads but at least they will be talking.

If we can be 10-3 heading into conference play, I think that'll be a success. Especially if one of those wins came against Duke or Arizona. We gotta beat Wichita and Xavier at home though.

Are there 10 wins on there?

Because

just isn't realistic given our inept in game coaching, short bench, and terrible front court.

If we do that there's no reason we shouldn't be better than 10-3 in the non-conference. I'd be pleasantly surprised if we did either of those things.

Except for our annual bed shitting against teams like Mercer, St. Peter's, Dayton, and Tulane.
