Off/Def Rank is from FEI Ratings
AY = Available Yards (Available yards percentage is calculated by dividing drive yards earned by available yards measured from starting field position to end zone.)

The analytics have already talked me into a close game. By the end of the week it, I’ll convince myself that we’re gonna win

Texas A&M for our offense says 41, shouldn't that be 38? Is AY available yards?

Sorry forgot to post the updated one over here. Yea it should be 38, is now. And yes AY is available yards, which is also description added in OP.

I don't think it's pushed me to thinking "we are gonna win" or "it will definitely be close", but it's definitely reminded me that we've had a really good football team throughout most of the year and if they show up we have a shot. And that, while it may not matter, Georgia hasn't really played anyone even close to us talent wise and athletically this season - even with all our faults.
So, I dunno, nothing Saturday will shock me outside of us just blowing their doors off (that seems highly unlikely).

We’ll need to win a 2021 version of 9-6
Stop them around the 30 and make them kick field goals. Don’t care what UGA fans think about their offense, we have stifled better ones this year. We’ve got more talent on defense than they have on offense, so if we aren’t making stupid mistakes on that side of the ball (coverage busts, penalties) then UGA better be ready for a fricking bar fight. Dallas Turner has quietly turned into an absolute freak and Phil does a good job of getting pressure up the middle. Young played his best game in Crimson last Saturday and Ray being back has been a huge boost. It’s the most formidable and deep front 4 that UGA has seen since the clemson game- but this one is better than that one.
Tackling is going to be paramount in this game. We need to get guys on the ground when we get our hands on them. Those extra yards are what keeps drives alive. There will be a bust or two to backs and tight ends, I’ve accepted that because our scheme just doesn’t cover those guys if they run a delayed route, we just need to minimize it and we can stop their base offense

Yep - and we've actually tackled extremely well the 2nd half of the year. Like, as well as we have since the glory days of defense IMHO. Our tackling against Auburn was as good as I can remember in years.
While I don't love PFF's stats, our tackling grade as a team for the season is 4th in the NCAA and 2nd in the P5 behind Georgia.
Auburn - 47 tackles, 4 missed tackles, 7.8% missed rate
Arkansas - 53 tackles, 11 missed tackles, 17.2% missed rate
NMSU - 36 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 5.3% missed rate
LSU - 49 tackles, 6 missed tackles, 10.9% missed rate
Tennessee - 35 tackles, 6 missed tackles, 14.6% missed rate
Miss St - 43 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 6.5% missed rate
As a comparison
2021 Florida - 52 tackles, 16 missed tackles, 23.5% missed rate
2021 Texas A&M - 39 tackles, 11 missed tackles, 22.0% missed rate
2020 Missouri - 50 tackles, 11 missed tackles, 18.0% missed rate
2020 Ole Miss - 63 tackles, 21 missed tackles, 25.0% missed rate
2019 LSU - 55 tackles, 18 missed tackles, 24.7% missed rate

Grading tackling is a little easier for nerds to do than grading offensive line play, in my most humbling opinion
(a)Man tries to tackle
(b) man tackles
or
(b) man does not tackle
(c) good grade
or
(d) bad grade

I'll browse from time to time after a particularly gut wrenching loss to soak up their pain and suffering. The last couple of days have produced some decent reading. I'm surprised more of them haven't turned on Harsin though. Shitty recruiting, second half collapses, clueless in game decisions...he has all the markers of being a Derek Dooley or Jim McElwain type hire.

Well good fricking luck. I've had access to every team's board for years, except for Auburn's. I thought once I became a moderator I would be given access over there.
Nope.

I have a plan. It's already in motion. Will take at least 5 more years

Bama has 4 starters who will likely be drafted in the top 5. Which means we have 4 starters who will likely be drafted higher than ANY of UGAs starters barring injury.
Anderson, Neal, Young, and Turner.
Anderson and Turner are the key to this game, imo. With the sacks UGA has given up, if they dominate like they can, UGA won't be able to move the ball. Especially with how good the team is at stopping the run.
Obviously its a stretch to think Bama will be able to move the ball very much. I don't see how the O/U is 50. If either team scores more than 24 in regulation ill be moderately surprised
But a close game favors Bama. This team has more close game experience than just about any team of the Saban era. They remind me of myself procrastinating in college, I couldn't do shite until I HAD TOO, and then I could write a A- level 6 page paper in 4 hours.

Step 1: Create alter account pretending to be Auburn fan
Step 2: Be the biggest Auburn homer imaginable to ingratiate self to the Fambly
Step 3: Gain moderator powers
Step 4: Grant access to self
This is the only way you're ever getting access to their board.

I think this is the case.
Turnovers and STs plays may create situations for one team or the other to break it open a bit.
Bama needs to play smart, sound football across the board. I really think with the way our D is playing vs the offense with Bennett at QB creates challenges for the UGA O. Bama's O will be challenged as well. Would love to have Kiffin on staff to scheme around our deficiencies and injuries and against UGAs defensive tendencies. Hopefully, BoB is saving his best for last, and Bama pulls it out Saturday

I was going to offer my AU board alter to Pio for a favorable prediction, but will offer it for sell here if he doesn't take it.
