Do you not see that your post that I quoted seems to demonstrate otherwise?

Is this the part where Alabama fans jump in with their different points of view concerning what religion is selling and a mod locks down the thread tighter than a rum store during prohibition?

I have surrendered to our God and have never felt better. I’ve dove into the Bible and since being saved it makes more sense than ever.

I’m in a church now that I feel that I’m suppose to be there, and the preacher is so genuine and tells it like it is with no sugar coating.

I pray we all have or will decide to start a personal relationship with the father and his son Jesus Christ.

Today me and a buddy went out sharing our testimonies to strangers. We had no plan on how we would do it because it was our first time going out to share Jesus with complete strangers. We end up at LOVES truck stop, with a rainbow shining over us on a non rainy day(for all you that can’t wait to explain why that is normal, Jesus loves you too) and he’s playing the guitar and a song he wrote and I shared my testimony to several people. Out of about 15 a few I could tell were genuinely moved.

One guy was letting his pet poop so I got to share the whole thing with him, he left so happy he jumped into his car with his wife and immediately started sharing it with her and drove off pounding his chest and waving ferociously. I’ve never felt God so pleased with me.

I’m in love with Jesus and if you have any doubt about him don’t, ask him to come into your life and start a personal relationship with him and surrender to him and he will take care of the rest.

And if you slip up on your journey repent, he knows your heart and you cannot hide, so if you truly and genuinely ask for forgiveness when you slip, and you will slip, he will be there to forgive you!!!

Pray to him tonight if you’re going through something you don’t think you can handle anymore and he is always listening and there for you but you HAVE to reach to him!!

God Bless you all!

Thanks for your testimony - it's an encouragement. He is the God of glory and the God of all grace. You seem to understand.

Thanks again.

No greater feeling in life than knowing the peace of mind that having Christ in your heart provides.

Congrats, but you never change a routine during Iron Bowl week (assuming my beer math was right).

The old Jesus Jinx. That explains a lot.

Oh well, live and learn. again

I want to be a dick about about it since the whole thing is annoying but then I remember one of the most important tenets of the Temple of Satan:

The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend.

After 87 days, what exactly have you learned? So far you can't seem to get past the same religious cliches that often annoy people. So you want to fill up a thread with "Be saved in the blood of the lamb," "God is good," Jesus is Savior." I don't know who's necessarily arguing or disagreeing with those concepts but is that it?

So far all we've got are Biblical cliches and pleasure endorphins firing off. And folks have been finding new and interesting ways to fire those pleasure endorphins in the brain for centuries.

When I was in the first grade, I read all about Dick and Jane, Sally and Spot. Which is fine, for the first grade. But if I'm a senior in high school and still can't get past the first-grade reader my parents should be rightfully alarmed.

You said you've been reading the bible, diligently. It's a pretty thick book. What do you know about God that isn't a religious cliche?

Well I started off in the book of Ephesians, Because it’s a short book, because like you said it’s a thick book. This was during the week I had just got saved, during this week I had started working two jobs, one being a Walmart department manager right before Christmas and the other a UPS worker during peek season. So needless to say I was in trouble work wise lol

I was put in tough situation and both bosses were being very demanding of me. The old me would have either quit one job or started coming at my bosses by trying to think of ways to make it hard on them, or had been thinking of ways to smart off or possibly threatened my younger immature boss at UPS in some way. Needless to say I would have tried to handle the situation myself.

Well after reading Ephesians 6:5 I decided to not say anything when times got hard and just pray for the whole situation and when they came at me demanding what I knew was too much I just smiled and said yes sir or yes mam and did my best.

My younger boss hated me in the beginning because a girl he liked there would flirt with me constantly and he resented me. But I just kept praying for him and working hard for him.

Now he text me all the time. Out of one spot after peak season that was available he made sure I got on as a regular employee and this dude loves me now. I’ve even shared Jesus with him since then when he was going through a rough time.

The old me at best would still be battling this guy and only I would have been losing due to it just taking away my peace with God. Or possibly being fired as well.

This is just one example where I followed the word and let God take control in 88 days and he is faithful every time. The more I surrender the more I know he’s with me.

Love you bro.

That's fantastic study and application. A lot of us could learn from that. Good luck man, it's hard work to put the Word to practice everyday. I fail much more often than I succeed. That's great stuff.

I should be that patient and forgiving but it's hard to do. Good for you.

That's great man. Both of those jobs are no joke during the holidays. I consider myself agnostic, but I see what faith does for people, and I think that it is great when applied in constructive ways such as how you just explained. Keep on keeping on, man.

Excellent application Luke. Ephesians is a great book. And yes, pray for those who hate you, for without the grace of God, you would be that person.

Thanks man. That’s why it’s important to pray everyday multiple times if possible. We all slip up but if you know you have another prayer with God coming soon it gets easier believe it or not.

He just wants us to know we need him, and we need him present in all our moments good or bad. Anytime you get caught up with somebody just remember your battle is not actually with that person, but with the devil who loves to take our mind off God whenever possible.

Give it to God and he will win every time. I genuinely prayed so hard for my bosses and after a couple of days of it I was blown away by the results.

While your professed love for me is commendable, it doesn't require much to say it.

The Jewish religious leaders, God's people by the way, "emotionally" thought they were expressing loyalty and love for God by conniving with Roman politics to put Jesus to death.

In fact, religion has been throwing their lot in with all types of political regimes in the name of God for thousands of years. Seldom has a battle been fought that God wasn't the first person they drafted. It always seems to get real "emotional" after that.

And when that happens, and it happens over and over, a lot of professed Christians haven't been "feeling" the love.
