We lost to Auburn. We have flaws. We have things to fix. But we are Alabama. 11-1 Alabama. #5 in the nation Alabama. Winner of four national championships in the last 10 years. A team on the bubble to get in the playoffs again this year with a month to get healthy and consider those issues.
We should not be melting down just because we played a bad game last night. Come on everybody. It's not time to jump off the ship.
Roll Tide.

I don't think most are melting. I think most see us at a bit of a crossroads, especially on offense, going forward.
And it was an ugly, poorly played loss. So there is some frustration there.

Losses to Auburn usually put me in a bad mood, but I'm honestly fine. Surprisingly haven't had any of my good AU friends bash me about the game, but there's still 365 days for them to get theirs.
We've had 7 straight years now of at least 11 wins. That was our first SEC loss in the regular season since 2015. Sure losing to AU sucks, but shite happens. We get them at home next year, Saban is still our coach, and we've got a bad arse basketball team to follow.
We're fine.

I am fine, looking forward to selection sunday to see where we go.
Hate that we don't control our own destiny, but the flip side is I will give a shite watching big 10 and 12 championships.
Remember how you felt when we saw Oklahoma state #3 in 2011. I know this team is way less talented, but remember that feeling. I do, and I will feel the same if we are #4 on sunday.

Just a small contingent of us completely overreacting.
Anyone worried about the direction saban is taking the program should reevaluate themselves as a fan.

Exactly. Got our arse kicked and were victimized by things many people have pointed out as issues for quite a while.

I am good. There were a few of us that already knew our offense was fools gold and that Auburn would beat our arse. Doesn't make the loss hurt any less but I didn't melt in the game thread last night and I won't do it now either. What really bothers me is that Saban isn't stupid so he knew his quarterback was a liability against any defense with a pulse and he didn't one time prepare a plan b or go to it. I guess I will never understand it. When you already know his limitations then gameplan around them if you insist on sticking with him instead of drawing up plays that you know he can't make. If we see this shite then how the frick does he not. Just because your quarterback doesn't turn over the ball doesn't mean you can win with him.

It is your assumption Saban did not have a plan B. How do you know we did not try plan B, C, and so on last night. Just because you do not like Hurts does not mean that our staff, who by the way probably gets paid more then all of us posters combined, thinks Tua is not more of a liability.
I put the loss on the coaches plain and simple. Every bad play or mistake is something that should have been addressed long before the 12th game of the season. Poor tackling and being out of position I expect in September not in November when playing for a NC.

You are more then welcome to fill out an application to be a head coach as there are a few openings in the SEC right now.

so, since we don't just shrug our shoulders and say oh well...we must be melting?! gtfo
Posted on 11/26/17 at 2:55 pm to MrTide33
just because we aren't shrugging our shoulders and saying, oh well maybe next year...doesn't mean we are melting. Some of us are simply asking what happened because we saw alot of this coming. Why didn't/don't the coaches? That's what going on here... we are just trying to figure out why our offense seems to get worse as the season goes on... Why our QB doesn't make better decisions at this point in the year.. why we still don't run the ball or look for short completions to tight end or slots... lots of questions... Doesn't mean we are melting.

We need to summon the force. Aka run the ball.
