I like the white cleats, but the white helmet is a no for me.

gee. I missed the news last year that Vince Sutton passed away. I lived near to Lagrange in 1984 and remember being stoked that he signed with Alabama. He was among the highest rated qbs that year, and may have been the highest and most coveted of all the qbs.

I used to be against the idea of white helmets as well but after seeing some photo shopped pics of the white helmets and our away uniforms I thought it looked pretty damn good. Maybe just pull them out once a year or once every two years.
The white cleats are the biggest deal to me, though. I just think it looks clean as hell.

Ray Perkins' 30% win rate in Tampa was God's punishment for bringing back those abysmal white helmets. Don't make the same mistake Ray did.

I really miss those clean jerseys. No stupid SEC or Nike patch.

Yeah, I'll always remember Sutton coming off the bench to lead a late comeback win over Kentucky his senior year (1988)...I was watching that game on TV, on the edge of my seat...it was his highlight moment at Bama.

I wish they would do alternate jerseys for A-day game...one team gets a throw back jersey, the other can have a Nike fun thing or something like that...and then sell the alternate jerseys for charity or just more $$$$ for Saban & Co.
I think that would be a cool compromise to Bama fans...have a $1 donation to get in to help with the cost of the new unis or something like that and let it change every year...

several years back, i read or seen a video discussing bamas crimson jersey's. they claimed, at that time,, that nike didn't even have the color crimson, that they were using a cardinal color. if you look at todays crimson jersey vs yesteryears crimson jersey, there is a difference.
i'm still a no on the white helmet. used to prefer the white shoes to black. but with hd cameras filming the games and the reviews. the black shoes give a better contrast to the white out of bounds stripes.

A compromise would only be required if there was a dispute. A handful of miss-guided posters pushing a white helmets narrative deserve no compromise.

The tiny circle A on the collar is fine by me and I'm alright with patches for special occasions like bowl games. But the conference patch is silly and the corporate patches are just embarrassing. Uniforms shouldn't be advertisements.

It's silly and unnecessary. The value or recognition of the SEC wouldn't be affected by one cent if they got rid of them.
