1. I think we’ll actually be ok with Tua at QB.

2. Pat Surtain Jr. is a stud, and at the same time, I can see why Shyeim Carter was demoted a little.

3. Hurts is so awful I literally go from the edge of my seat when Tua is in to wanting to turn the channel when Hurts is in. It’s so damn awful to watch.

4. The D will be in trouble this season if we run into a QB who can run like Mond, but can also pass a little.

5. DLine & OLine are headed in the right direction

By the time Hurts came in Saban had Locksley shut us down.

It was pretty obvious by the 3rd quarter Saban made us go conservative. He did the same thing whenever we were pinned back in the first half and our drives stalled.

We need Saban to just trust his QB and OC.

Huh? Mond is a great throwing quarterback. It's a testament to how our young secondary is playing that he had to run it all the time instead of throwing it.

This issue isn't our secondary, it's the linebackers.

Our pass defense might be the strength of the defense.

I think Saban was trying to work on the power rushing game some - which is needed. He doesn't want to lose physical identity of the team and become too pass happy IMO. He is always looking for that balanced approach.

Kind of the opposite side of the coin where we would pass a bunch in some of these early games trying to work on the weak part of the offense.

no. He's not great. In fact, he's pretty average. Clemson game notwithstanding. Even that game, the receivers most times had to adjust their routes. Any qb can have an occasional good game. I think the word is badly inconsistent. Remind you of another qb?

Solid point.

I can't believe I'm saying this but they may be our weakness right now. Our DBs are actually pretty solid and are growing better.

Mack Wilson has struggled even though he has made some big plays. Same could be said for Dylan.

Our DL is beasting.

In Mack's defense, he's playing with a slightly fractured foot. Jennings is still recovering from his knee injury in the Sugar Bowl and isn't at 100% yet. Dylan Moses is playing well but he's still young and therefore is prone to mistakes. I feel like our linebacker corps would be better if Lewis hadn't torn his ACL during fall camp.

Mond might be the best all around QB we see the whole regular season. And I’m not saying he’s amazing.

LBs are definitely disappointing so far. Mack seems to be out of position a lot. Secondary and DL are a pleasant surprise.

Running game is down because Saban has the most talented QB to ever play in Tuscaloosa and he knows it. He's using that to his advantage. Most teams usually have one primary receiver that is hard to cover. Bama has FOUR. Throw in a mismatch at TE in Smith and the pasty that everyone seems to forget about and you simply have too many spectacular receivers than a defense can cover.

Jennings has gotten better every game. By the LSU game he'll be at full stud level. Mack and Dylan are showing flashes so I'm hopeful.

Jennings was affecting plays all game yesterday. A few of those Buggs sacks were caused by Jennings flushing the pocket. So happy to see him having a good season.

He got into us last year throwing the football...he is a streaky guy that can get hot or go cold. We will not play a QB going forward that can run as well as he.

Jennings is great against the run and rushing the passer, but I don’t understand Bama ever calling a play where he’s in pass coverage.

Noticed several times yesterday that a LB would be covering the wrong guy (going with a guy that was picked up by safety while another would be breaking underneath or where the LB just vacated. Not a D coverage guy, but seems like a lack of understanding of the plays and/or coverages

I think you're grossly underestimating Mond's ability tbh.

The kid's good. Not Tua level.....but then who is?
