People aren't out there being Kentucky, UNC or Duke fans, they just aren't fans of the sport at all.

That's totally fine.

The people that are frustrating are the ones who openly talk about how basketball/other sports are stupid and don't matter or, worse, root for another college basketball program.

If a person just doesn't like basketball then more power to them. Personally I'd never start trying to tell that person they had to start loving basketball and caring about Alabama.

But, if someone's opinion is that football is King and everything else can kick rocks........then yea that's gonna piss me off. It's the University of Alabama, not the Alabama Crimson Tide of the NFC South.

Reality to you is nobody loves Alabama basketball? I mean, it's not reality.

It's as much reality as your shithead comment that anyone who doesn't like basketball must not be someone who graduated from Alabama.

By other people you mean the Athletic Foundation? Are we now not commenting on UA capital projects?

Then what's your huge need for tissue about?

The 2 are not related and you guys keep crying because the booster money is for football not basketball. As if football is taking away from basketball money - and it's not.

If they give to football and not to basketball and they stopped giving to football - that money is not going to go to basketball.

When the did I say that? Did you read my post above? Tons of people that went to Alabama don't like basketball. That's fine. It is what it is.

I'm not really sure what you mean here - the money in question is general athletic department funds. It's not earmarked/restricted football gifts.

We want basketball to have a facility that is top notch, same as we want for every other facility on campus. If a kid puts on a Crimson shirt that says "ALABAMA" on it I want them to have everything they need to whip the shite out of whoever they play in whatever they are playing.

Me too. Go big or go home . No excuses for our facilities to not be top notch in every sport , Especially the cash cows

The only legit defense of prioritizing BDS over Coleman I can think of is that that's the only way they could get a lot of big money FOGs to donate and risk their money being allocated to things besides football.

I'm pretty sure the big donors that make things happen are vocal about where they expect and want the money to be spent.

And if you wait until the football stuff needs to be addressed, then you've waited too long. Other schools aren't just sitting around doing nothing.

Also, given the limited amount of players needed for Basketball, I don't think the quality of the stadium is going to matter much when it comes to the success of the program. Coaching is what needs to be addressed and hopefully it has. Get the coaching in order and the rest will follow.

I don't think anyone's saying this.
