247 Sports has a mock draft that has SEVEN Bama players going in the 1st Round.

Smitty
Waddle
Surtain II
Mac
Leatherwood
Brown
Barmore

Tha fuk.

And Najee isn't even on that list. Much more likely to go in the late 1st than Cornbread, IMO.

who replaces waddle and smitty with the HR threat due to their speed. Not sure Metchie has that kind of speed but he is a possession down receiver.

I wonder if 19 could get faster with a full off season.

Have a plethora of WR talent on the bench or arriving on campus now and in a few months... there will be lots of showing out in the Spring as they via for those prime PT spots.... Leary, JoJo, crap... all of them...if Bryce/Paul/Jalen can spin deep, they will run it down

Yes Metchie has the speed, watch him at the beginning of this year. He has been playing on one leg for the last 3 games.

Everyone was so focused on Waddle's health that Metchie's injury went virtually unnoticed.

Saban said postgame that Metchie's ankle is so banged up, he couldn't practice at all between the Notre Dame and Ohio State game. And no one even knew about it. And he played virtually the whole game with Waddle still gimpy and Smitty going out in the 3Q.

Any update on Smitty’s injury? Curious what happened. Prayers up regardless.

DeVonta Smith missed almost all of the second half of Monday's national championship win because of a dislocated finger. The injury happened at the start of the third quarter of Alabama's 52-24 win over Ohio State. He sat out the rest of the game. "He really dislocated his finger," Alabama coach Nick Saban said.

After the game, head coach Nick Saban provided an update on the star receiver during a Zoom call with reporters, while also jokingly taking a jab at Smith for missing an entire half.

“I told Smitty after the game, I said, ‘You're the only player that I know that missed a whole half because of your finger,’” Saban said. “It was dislocated and they couldn't get it back in. If they'd have got it back in, he would have been fine. He actually wanted to play, we just didn't allow him to. He's a great competitor.”

I didn’t realize it until just now, but Najee tied Tebow for most total TDs from scrimmage in SEC history with 57 yesterday

Something I’ve been pondering today.... In the last 10 years I have been a part of 3 undefeated football seasons (Logan High School 2011, IMG Academy 2016, Alabama 2020). Aside from incredible coaching and very talented players, here are a few similarities that I noticed:

Need some help finding a stat I saw somewhere on here or the Rant. It showed Alabama had scored more TDs than we had FGs, punts, turnovers on downs, and turnovers combined. TIA

*Edit* Found it.
