Memphis is about to back the truck up. Would be tough to lose Burnett.

Broke this significant news yesterday but Memphis’ full staff will conduct an in-home visit today for five-star guard Nimari Burnett, a source told @Stockrisers. I’ve heard they like the idea of a pairing with Jalen Green, also love Burnett’s game. Will see how it unfolds.

Seems like the past few days Oats has been trying to work his Michigan roots.

Isaiah Jackson visiting Bama LINK /

“We will visit the weekend of Oct. 18th or 25th,” Wesley Jackson told ZAGSBLOG.

“They want Isaiah. They made that point crystal clear. They believe Isaiah is the piece to anchor their team and put them in competition to compete far in the [NCAA] Tournament.”

quote:

“Coach Oats came to church to meet with me,” he said. “He helped us carry food outside for our 9th Annual Church Anniversary and 1st Annual Pastoral Appreciation. He witnessed five baptisms Sunday afternoon. The talk was good, very informative.”

I can't wait for the season either. Especially the way the football season is unfolding. By the Iron Bowl, we'll be sending the JV out there on defense. It's a shame, but I fear we are going to be robbed of the opportunity to compete for another title with the GOAT group of Tua and the Four Horsemen because of the damn injury bug and the ripple effect of a couple of years of less than stellar staffers.

Just need some good basketball news so we can look forward to tipping it off.

Off Topic, but this is the only hoops thread so I put it in here.

My son went to an Andy Kennedy Exposure Camp on Saturday and I was extremely impressed with Coach Kennedy and the coaching he provided for the kids. The detail a provided for drills, and the time he spent 1 on 1 with kids was more than what I'm used to seeing from these types of camps. Coach put in a ton of work for over 5 hours. One of the workers at the camp was Bart Hyche from MSU glory a few years ago. He was one of my least favorite players in the SEC at the time. But the dude worked his tail off at the camp and was one of the best instructors I've seen work a camp. Was really a good dude.
