MarJon Beauchamp is one of the most promising young basketball stars from the state of Washington, known as one of the most productive states in the country for churning out NBA talent. Beauchamp played his junior year at Rainier Beach and is considered the highest-ranked recruit from Washington's 2020 class, according to ESPN. The 18-year-old is one of the most sought-after college prospects in the nation and has amassed more than 12 offers from Division I schools with elite basketball programs, including UCLA, University of Arizona, USC, Oregon State, Texas, Georgetown, Alabama, and University of Washington.

After numerous collegiate offers and careful consideration of all available options, MarJon and his father, JonMarc Beauchamp, said their decision was based on what was best for MarJon. "I'm genuinely humbled by all the interest and offers I received by some great schools. Although they were tough to turn down, I believe the Chameleon BX program provides the kind of personalized attention I need to get my body and game properly prepared for pursuing my dream of a career in the NBA," said MarJon. His Father added, "Frank Matrisciano's proven ability to transform athletes, combined with the skills training provided by his accomplished NBA coaching staff is simply a far better option for MarJon than a one-and-done year at college, or any of the other paths we considered before making our decision."

Well that was a lot of wasted time our staff put into recruiting him. Damn.

Yeah, this really sucks. Pretty sure we were leading for him.

I get going overseas, but he's skipping college....to work with a personal trainer for the next year because it will help him with the NBA? That makes absolutely no sense.

Saw on twitter that Andrew Slater put in a crystal ball for Nimari Burnett to Bama. He's as plugged in as anybody.

For what it’s worth, Beauchamp told me his final-three schools would’ve been: Arizona, Alabama, and Washington. He isn’t sure where he would’ve committed, but those were the three in contention.

It has been rumored that Beauchamp couldn’t qualify for college. This helps solidify those rumors

Yeah, this is strange. If you don’t go college, go overseas. You’re not going to get any better with zero game experience with quality players. No one is going to draft a kid who was the 29th ranked kid in his class that has no game film past high school and hasn’t been playing any sort of legit competition for over a year.

Yeah, Beauchamp and Burnett were the 2 I felt best about. Felt like Beauchamp really liked us though, based off of his Tweets. Hilarious that it seems like the guys that like us the best are the only dudes in the top 100 that can’t qualify. Eubanks, Ferguson, and now Beauchamp.

That would be an amazing pick up

Slater is 12/12 on his 2020 CB picks so far.

Pretty sure there is a specific rule on distance from your campus if the game is played off-site to whether it counts as home or away. I'm not positive about this but I THINK if it is at a neutral and close to both schools it counts as home game for BOTH. Not 100% on that, though.

But yea, Huntsville is outside the mileage radius (50 or 100 I think), but Birmingham is not.

I think Slater and Meyer are probably the best of the bunch on CB picks, but I really wish they’d allow only one change per recruit and incorporate a way to not allow CB picks to count if they’re changed within a week of a commitment. A lot of those guys just change their pick right before the commitment when it’s common knowledge where they’re going.

Yeah man, that personal trainer is definitely going to get your son more well prepared for the NBA than any of these college coaches with their so-called "experience" and "actual track records of success". What a fricking moron. I really hope this kid is skipping college because he's not eligible to attend and not because daddy dumbfrick here is calling the shots.

Was thinking the same thing so I went back and checked on Slater's history with them. He has a few CBs that he called the day of or within the first few days but he also has some that he clearly took some risk on.
