The NCAA announced they’re starting a “working group” to look into players making money off their name, image, and license. This would help the NCAA games come back if they could make some sort of agreement LINK

It pisses me off so much that we had the game all of Bama's shitty years, but when we start this run, the game gets shut down.

The bad thing is, NCAA Basketball was shut down due to sales. NCAAF was shut down due to likeness issues. Not sure if basketball would come back or not

One of the talking head guru's said it will likely come down to whether the FBI will turn over any of their evidence to the ncaa.

Once the trials are over and the FBI closes their case file, why couldn't the NCAA just gain access to everything via FOIA?

What it is, is he doesn’t want a public commitment bc then the entire gym will be filled with Bama fans. He doesn’t wanna take a chance of being boo’d when he picks LSU

Honestly, I would say the more likely scenario is that he said it was open to the public. And then the school administration came back with “uh.. what are you doing? No it isn’t.”
Schools don’t operate this way any more. There will never be an “open to the public” event at Mountain Brook HS during school hours.

I never played with Bama. I would always play Dynasty with a shitty school and build them up.

Alabama always ends up sucking in every Dynasty I start too for some reason

Recruiting got so damn complicated that it took a lot of the fun out of the game.

Here's the deal. Religion is a crutch for the masses. I'll make fun of it whenever the mood strikes me. I'm not in the mood to debate it any more than I'm in the mood to argue with a child about the existence of santa claus. If you catch me on a different day, I might. However, I suspect I'll be the first one to get banned because, despite their claims of constant persecution, christians hold the majority in the country, and definitely on this forum.

But, why are y'all still discussing this? You know that rational people think religion is dumb. Why does seeing it in writing surprise you so much? I think Nate Oats is a smart guy who believes some childish nonsense. That describes the majority of humanity. I still like the guy. I'd probably like most of you in real life.

Here's the real deal: atheism is a hiding place for fools and those who fear judgement. I don't want to make fun of them at all because of the consequences of their choice. Rational and honest people understand that the only reasonable explanation is that the infinite God created the universe. The guesses offered by atheists are sophistry swallowed by many gullible who want to believe anything that denies the truth.

”I felt this was the right fit for me and right place for me,” Cole told 247Sports. “The trust factor was here. For me it’s been a lifelong dream to be playing here and to follow the footsteps of the great point guards they’ve had here. I wanted to follow that path.”

“It’s great,” he said about his relationship with the staff. “Coach [Dan] Hurley, that’s family right there for me. Playing for his dad in high school for those three years were great. I’ve known coach Kimani Young from the AAU years so I felt like it was the perfect fit for me and it felt like family.”

The steady state theory, which basically says that the Universe was never created and was of infinite age, was the predominant theory until the 1960's. In the 20's, a Catholic Priest tried to tell people that the Universe had begun at a moment in time from a point or singularity. He was ridiculed and disregarded and the name "big bang" was originally intended as a derisive term.

Of course since then the "big bang" has become accepted science, and regardless of what some science snobs say, it has made people confront the true mystery of how everything can come from nothing in the blink of an eye.

But the fact is we exist. And science hasn't explained it. They haven't explained creation. They haven't explained consciousness. They haven't explained what the hell a "singularity" is. They haven't explained life itself.

So it You want answers as to "why", don't look to science. Don't look to medicine. Look to religion. If there are answers, that's where they lie.

Mr. Teague thinks he has it all figured out. But I suspect he is a lightweight intellect with a smattering of knowledge. And for some people, that's enough to fuel all the dispersions.

Regardless, I buy St Paul's assertion that such people are "fools". Further, I buy his assertion that 500 people saw the risen Christ. Further, my instincts tell me that neither Paul, nor Peter, nor St. John nor Jesus Christ were lunatics or liars, which they most certainly would have to be if all they said is nothing but made up hogwash. I just don't get that vibe when I read Romans or Corinthians.

But you think you've pegged reality. Well congrats to you. I don't know how old you are, but I 'll admit to being impressed regardless.

By the way, I've heard all this crap before. Thirty years ago my brother would spout off in the same exact way.

Now he teaches Sunday school.

Learn a little humility dude. Pride is a dangerous thing.
