Haas was never coming, his father had too many problems at UA, and didn't want the negatives about his father haunting his college career

Yeah I remember someone posting about it last year- might have been you. Glad to see him have success, but I feel like he has been there forever.

It looked almost simultaneous when they showed the review.

Moe seemed to think it was the right call.

My problem wasn't with whether or not it was before the call. My problem was with how quickly it was called. I don't see how that was 5 seconds.

Typically the rule of thumb is for the inbounder to call a TO at 4 seconds, which seemed to be what Herb tried to do. Pretty sure the official just forgot his 5th "Mississippi".

With all the reviews in today's game, I don't see how that's not a reviewable play that late in the game. It's something so simple to check. Just throw a 5 second timer on the screen and start it as the official blows the whistle. If the timeout was called before 5 seconds, they're awarded the TO. It's not that hard.

Hopefully we can keep Petty for one more year.

Right now, I'm just as worried about keeping Herb. NBA teams love length and three and D guys. With this Alabama team likely to draw a lot more of the scout eyes this year, it's not likely Herb's defense and potential will go unnoticed.

I don't think you have to worry about Herb this year. I understand what you are saying but if he gets consistent with his jumper then I'll worry.

I'm pretty tapped into this one, I've got "sources"

Auburn admin have acted like a bull in a China shop, basically a "either you are w me 100% or your part of the problem" approach. I don't blame them, given the clusterfrick of scandals + wanting to resolve mess before new AD arrives.

This also is being echoed by arguably Auburns biggest BBall booster Stephen Hooks as well.

There's also some rumor from Scout mods + Hooks that an AU BoT board member is who wanted Chuck Person + deamnded Jones be fired to promote Chuck to AHC. This AU BoT member now is trying to push this scandal to Bruce's lap instead of his I know nothing more than thay

So what's weird is no other school is handling it this way. I've stated before that in a Zona fan, part of the reason why is I have some connections to Zona + ASU. Sean Miller is "cooperating" because UofA's interviews are essentially "So you didn't do anything wrong? Good enough for me" That isn't AU's approach at all

Heck of a win for the Vols. There isn't a bad team in the league this year. Every game is going to be a war.

It probably means "Armchair AU administrator, you don't know shite so don't tell me how to do my job"

It's hard to pin down what exactly AU admins would view as a "win" in the end. Not even sure if they know for sure themselves

I'll say this though, AU admin feels like they are in the right and Bruce is in bad faith here.

Similarly, Bruce feels like AU is I'm bad faith + has backing from FBI/NCAA that he can delay cooperation until post FBI cases/investigation. Add also that no other school is asking if their HC what AU is demanding of Bruce.

side note on Kevin Hervey:

A 2014 graduate of Arlington Bowie High School ... coached by Allen Gratts ... averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds as a junior … earned All-District team and Newcomer of the Year honors … Did not play as a senior due to a knee injury ... did see limited minutes in his final high school game in the postseason playoffs ... played for the Dallas Mustangs in AAU … 36th-ranked player in Texas by Texas Hoops … ESPN 3-star recruit.

i'm not sure which i'm more shocked by.

I realize he's only averaging like 1 made three a game, but right now he's shooting 60% from 3. Regardless of how his perecentage ends up, he's got a very smooth and compact stroke, which is what most scouts look at above any shooting statistic. It's why Ball's shooting was viewed as a negative even though he had great shooting statistics.
