Yeah them beating Michigan is good for us... Especially when we wax those bayou arses a couple of times this year

We haven't been 4-0 since 2012-13.

The year we last made the top 10 or close to it.
Actually don't think we've been ranked since until this season.

LSU beats Michigan.....Sure the Rant will be unbearable now but LSU being good and having a good RPI is good for us.
Right now, the SEC needs everyone to be good OOC. Best case scenario would be for every SEC team to go into conf play undefeated. Once the SEC is a respectable basketball conference, we can start rooting for everyone to lose every game.

Miss State not helping anyone with their OOC schedule lol

I can only hope that eventually the state of basketball in Alabama is good enough for me to root for Alabama to lose every game
For now, rising tides lifts all boats. The competition to stay ahead of Auburn or vice versa is what is elevating basketball in the state.

100% agree. I openly root for every team in the league at this point...........even Auburn and Tennessee (though, more of just checking the score and slightly nodding in approval if they win).

I disagree, considering MSU has a good chance of being a bottom team, their W/L record will make our bottom look better. As for RPI, we benefit more from MSU going undefeated than them struggling through a harder OOC schedule
Obviously it isn't ideal, but as long as they walk in 12-1, it won't hurt the SEC and eye test helps

You know my position then
Except for Zona, #BearDown. I got family ties there. I could appreciate the silver linings of "good for the conference" if Bama wins, but I pull for Zona

yep the folks that say I don't pull for my conference in hoops and even football are missing the boat a bit.
It matters.

@BamaRoundball
Someone on TI said the other day it's gonna be an $80 million renovation to Coleman that will completely redo almost everything. Will change the seating to 12k. Apparently they don't want to destroy Coleman because they already put a ton of money into things like the new locker room and all the other extras they added. As long as this is done right and they change the Tide Pride seating, I'm all for it

CAJ - "You'll probably next year hear some information on what's gonna happen with Coleman Coliseum, but we're not ready to make any announcement on that yet." Expects Greg Byrne to make an announcement on the vision for Coleman/facilities during 1st or 2nd quarter of 2018.

Wonder if that puts the Women's team back into Foster for a year.
I'm all for it being renovated if the Tide Pride, student section, and band seating is fixed.
12k is ideal size for us, because that's been around our average in the last 10 years. Having around 9k-10k show up for a basketball game looks a lot better for a 12k arena than a 15k.

Is Riley going to play this game?

Nah, we'd be ok with a certain team being really bad OOC.

Riley is a game time decision according to Avery. I think Riley said he feels good too. I think he's gonna play a little
