Ole Miss officials announced Wednesday that they are self-imposing a one-year bowl ban for the 2017 season after receiving a new NCAA notice of allegations. Per The Clarion-Ledger
quote:

"Earlier today, our outside legal counsel received the university's notice of allegations dealing with the football program," Chancellor Jeff Vitter said.

There are now 21 allegations into the football program, eight are new. Ole Miss has also been charged with a lack of institutional control.

"The charge replaces the more limited failure to monitor charge in the January 2016 Notice of Allegations," Ross Bjork, Ole Miss' athletic director, said. "This is charged as a Level I violation that we will contest."

NCAA investigators should realize that Ole Miss took a bowl ban this past season too.
