Render, who started all 12 games, finished the season with a career-high 49 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Render also was named the team's defensive player of the week six times and the defensive lineman of the week four times.

Render finished his MTSU career with 119 career tackles, six sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss.
