This is 100% true about him charging. But like others say... it's his agent and having to schedule all the requests. It's not like the churches don't plan on making money off the 'event' also. I'm sure he speaks for free wherever he wants to, but to get on a plane and go somewhere he has never been for strangers? We hired his mother to come and speak to raise money for the maternity home we were trying to run. She gave a great speech and we did raise money and awareness. Here's a newsflash... every professional musician/speaker that goes to a church to play gets paid.

Every celeb charges to speak at events they don't really feel like doing. It just looks bad for TT if it's a church or other 501(c)(3), which is the type of org. that would want him to speak. Also I thought Tim's backyard ball approach made him fun to watch (as long as it wasn't on one of my teams haha).

It may have been ugly, but all he did was win. If he asks for money to speak and they pay him, more power to him. They can say no. This is America and his time is worth what people are willing to pay.
