© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
In one of the emails that surfaced this week from Jon Gruden, the former Raiders head coach decried the fact that the St. Louis Rams drafted former Missouri standout Michael Sam...
quote:

“…Goodell should not have pressured Jeff Fisher, then the coach of the Rams, to draft ‘queers,’ a reference to Michael Sam, a gay player chosen by the team in 2014,” the report stated.
On Tuesday evening, former St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher released a statement on the matter...

Was Michael Sam a wide receiver or a tight end?

Fisher is such a liar. He only drafted Sam to make NFL look good. What a cuck.

First reply is from a man pretending to be an anime woman saying they love him. Why am I not surprised?

It's always people that don't by the product that cheerlead for that kind of shite.

Fisher sounds like a cuck with that statement... gays in football and in the military seem odd...really odd...we don't need more "courage"

What IS Michael Sam doing to earn a living nowadays? Still married? (I'd ask the still married about most players who made their wives so important visually to their careers.)

Figured he would say something to kiss up to gays, so that woke community doesn't point fingers at him for not doing more. But I don't have to believe the last sentence about the NFL was true- would not be surprised if he didn't run that tweet thru the NFL for approval to stay in their good graces. Screw the NFL!

Michael Sam was a hell of a player but this honestly seems like an arse-kissing performance by Jeff Fisher to get his name back out in the media.

He was a good college player, that was the limit of his talent.

Oh boy don’t go thru my email because you’ll find all this & some. And I won’t apologize for shite.

Nor should you. I would imagined a large amount of us have things we've written or said that weren't politically correct.

Yeah never apologize for saying non-pc things. It ends up making it worse.

If he wasn't gay, he would not have been drafted. Signed, yes.... drafted, no.

Fisher is a decent human being. Gruden is not.

That’s why he isn’t a good head coach and Gruden was

CP3LSU25 Being a good head coach is certainly not more important than being a good human being.

AllenTXTiger, lots of "good humans" get fired every year for not winning. What do you think is more important in the multi billion dollar company like the NFL, winning or good people. This is a farce.

Jeff, the NFL called up teams after you were set to cut him to look for a landing spot for him. How many other players has the league ever done that for?

Because his sr year in the SEC he had 11.5 quarterback sacks and 19 tackles for a loss. You don't do that unless you can play

He really only needed the last sentence to set the record straight. But never miss a good opportunity to virtue signal.

Needless?? You kidding me? Going to precursor this with that I don't support anything remotely close to virtue signaling or the SJW movement. All of it drives me crazy. However, why the f*** wouldn't Jeff Fisher come out and say this, and explain himself after his name was needlessly thrown in and subsequently exposed in these dumb e-mails. Still don't understand why JG would even put that stuff in writing. As far as JF, this is self preservation, and he did the absolute right thing, in a classy and pointed way, that is not virtue signaling. Self preservation is 100% necessary at all times in the current world. What do you think people did the second that they saw his name in the e-mail? They immediately dove through years of social media BS searching for anything JF ever said, tweeted etc. about anything remotely related to the issue. Also, all he said was that a person's sexual orientation should not dictate whether they get a job, which is true. Same as a person's decision to not to be vaxed shouldn't dictate a person's employment.
