NBA analyst Jalen Rose Thinks NFL Players Should Strike For A Week
© Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports
Houston Texans owner Bob McNair didn't help the NFL's protest issue this week when he compared the national anthem protests to “inmates running the prison”. NBA analyst Jalen Rose, threw his two cents in saying he wishes the NFL players would strike for a week to send a message...

I don't think that would/could happen...right?

Yes, its not like the NFL isn't bleeding viewership numbers over this exact issue, why not steer towards the cliff even harder? Hell, why not have all the players just flip the flag off during the national anthem?

The owners love being NFL owners. Their egos and arrogance is every bit as huge as any NFL star. A strike at this time would be bad for the NFL period.

So you want to teach the owner's a lesson? I say do it and the future contracts for these players should have an "anthem clause". If they violate it, then suspend them. No one player or group of players are bigger than the game.

Jalen isn't exactly what you'd call "famous for his intelligence".

When millionaire jocks who are unlikely to even write a coherent sentence suddenly start to take themselves serious like the idiots in Hollywood, I know my decision to boycott the NFL was the right one.

Not every NFL player is a millionaire you moron. Just like not every player is an idiot. Many have graduate degrees which judging by your level of "intelligence"; you are lacking.

Yeah, they should strike for the whole year. That would show those owners. Just watch 30-30 program broke. 3/4's of NFL players are broke or bankrupt after only 3 years out of the league. Strike, ha ha, they can't afford to miss a game without pay.

NFL is teetering on death now. Send the league to its ultimate death. It'll happen sooner ôr later anyway.

I agree, if these players are going to shite in their own beds go ahead and do it now and save us all the time.

Owners are a lot richer than the players and don't need the NFL to make money. Don't bite the hand Jalen

Of course he does. There would be no skin off his back if they did.

Ratings would be about the same. Keep being bigger pussies. That'll show 'em.

Game Changer? Yep, it would be goodbye NFL... think again Jalen...Think about your audience, think about your customer, think about who actually pays for these players to live like Kings. You think striking is answer to what? Let's have an uncomfortable conversation about stats and police shootings...lets revisit the issue with facts not what your father or mother said they were...

Jalen Rose would have trouble spelling strike.

Great idea. But make it 16 weeks instead of one.

Facetiously, JustinT37 said, ‘Yea, so now every NFL player has CTE and bc of that they go bankrupt in 5 years. Lol wrong” Justin T37 Your ability to synthesize a conclusion of 1 paragraph needs help. No where was there the insinuation that NFL CTE caused their subsequent bankruptcies; that is open to speculation. However, I must correct a figure in which I stated that 50% of NFL players go bankrupt after playing time. It is actually 80%.(LINK ). You may be correct that not every NFL player develops CTE. The actual percent is 99%, not 100%.(LINK ). Or you can find that in the New York Times or Sports Illustrated, among many others. So, you see, Mr Kaepernik may be right to protest. With those statistics, the NFL should be banned for the benefit of those such as Colin Kaepernik. I’m sure there will something else meaningful that they could do. Or maybe not.

Isn't a wildcat strike a violation of federal labor law?

I think it is about time some of us racist white people boycott espn and their sponsors and see how that works out for Jalen.

Both teams could agree to tank the game for 3 quarters by having the RB walk in a circle for 15 minutes without tackling him for 3 plays in a row, then play one legitimate quarter. Would certainly get attention and you get to cash your game check all the same.

Then sponsors start bailing and the free fall accelerates!

What an absolutely genius idea, but why play anything with legitimacy? This would help their low credibility and ultimately get them what they deserve. Why don’t you try to get that going.

Please do this, pretty please.

What an absolute retard. This thinking is exactly the issue. Morons constantly think with emotion instead of their brains. It’s a business dumbass. The owner can do or say whatever the frick he wants. The employee is more than welcome to walk away as well. But see, without the nfl the owner is still rich and the player is unemployed selling insurance on commission. Great advice dipshit
