Clearly he lost from a financial perspective, but it’s lousy to franchise a player (particularly an RB) multiple years. Originally he said he wanted to change things for RBs in the league, but maybe he’s done something more important. Maybe he’s shown that you don’t have to take the tag up the rear just because a team says so.

He will never make up that lost money. He should have just done his job and gotten paid. I see no reason why the Steelers wouldn't have taken it easy on his touch total. Hell, he probably could have taken himself out of the games from time to time for various reasons.
