A fan ran onto the field during Monday night's matchup between the 49ers and the Rams and Rams LB Bobby Wagner took him down. That fan has now filed a police report over the incident. Weak sauce...
quote:

The man went to the Santa Clara Police Dept. on Tuesday following the Rams vs. 49ers game, cops tell us, and filed the report. A spokesperson did not reveal any further details.

A rep for Direct Action Everywhere -- the org. that took credit for the wild scene at Levi's Stadium -- told us the report stems from a "blatant assault" by two Rams players.
...
According to Direct Action Everywhere, the individuals performed the stunt in order to raise awareness for a trial involving the alleged theft of pigs from a factory farm. The org. said the man suffered a burn injury during the incident.

"Otherwise," they said in a statement, "they're a bit beaten up but in good spirits."

The spectator who ran out onto the field got what he deserved. It's called "frick around and find out."

Evidently, he didn't watch the video.

Illegally runs onto field with an incendiary device. Gets burned by said device. Calls the cops. They should look him up for six months for a psych evaluation.

Should already be arrested for trespassing, potential arson, potential endangerment with an incendiary device, concealment of an incendiary device, and stupidity.

The reason this piece of shite broke the law is irrelevant. Even acknowledging it is idiotic.

If he was just running out there streaking then ok I'd give a tiny bit of credence, but the dude ran out there with what could have been harmful to people, and these players went to stop it. F this cali leftie fig

It’s California where nobody is prosecuted.

On the other hand, it's California. If there is any place in the world where the criminals are considered the victims, it is California.

Joke's on him. California doesn't prosecute assault.

Is it legal for players to attack people that come onto the field?

The players were protecting their jobsite. They could have caused extremely serious harm to the knucklehead if needed to protect the livelyhood of the NFL.

It's not always a good idea to wait and determine the intent of the criminal that has entered the prohibited area of your work space. No way to know what that fool was going to do when he ran to the sideline.

I thought that pink smoke meant something. But why would commie pinkos be protesting the theft of pigs from a factory farm, that, I'm sure they're behind? Hmmm...
