Monday Night Football is changing their tune. ESPN has decided to replace Hank Williams' All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night song with Little Richard's Rip It Up...
quote:

ESPN instead will use the Little Richard song “Rip It Up,” with modern-day instrumentals from a Virginia-based band called Butcher Brown combined with Little Richard’s voice. The open will not show the musicians on-screen; the sound track will be put over game-specific highlights. The singer died earlier this year. ESPN worked with Little Richard’s estate and his label, Concord Records, to come up with the music for the open.

How about Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World" over a montage of video from the peaceful riots and looting?

you're an idiot. do you realize that the vast majority of protests are peaceful? Interesting you probably use the "Few bad apples" to defend cops but think all the protesters are looters are bad. Always good to remind myself of all the people with IQs at zero on the board.

"do you realize that the vast majority of protests are peaceful?" Since you brought up cops, do you realize that the vast majority of cops are good? Apparently its ok for the minority of shitty cops to outweigh all of the good ones, and to subject ALL cops to punishment, so why wouldn't that hold true for the other side?

im4LSU, you just made the same point that LSU713 did, but you obviously did so without understanding the point he was making. Which makes your point dumber. Good job.

It stinks but so does the entire NFL. The league has become to politically correct for me. Tired of watching millionaires kneel at the National Anthem of the country that made them what they are. Also, the B.L.M. garbage and patronizing thugs, arsonists, and thieves. I wont watch a game...

Why does it stink? Because you can’t hear Hank Williams jr before you watch a game? What does this have to do with BLM?
user avatar

Are the BLM people going to spend the $150 per head to go to a game? Tickets, parking, a snack, and a few beers add up quick.

Like a tree falling in the woods. Does it really change if nobody is watching to hear it?

Ritchie Valens did this song for his audition with the Silhouettes. Blew them away.

Hank Williams sings the intro song and now Little Richard will sing it? I hear dead people.

Hank Williams Jr. is not deceased.

@Michael - The article doesn’t say Junior. Hank Williams is his dad and is very dead.

@Bob, it's Junior. Everyone knows it Junior. It's Junior's song.

Figured it would be Public Enemy's fight the power or maybe Kneel Down by Z-Ro. Hank Jr. does not need his name besmershed by these commies. I am sure Hank's political persuasion had nothing to do with this.......

They said it’ll be a version of that song. Maybe they’ll change it to Monday.

The race to the bottom. Will be interesting to see salary negotiations with the money drying up. Just remember, you did it to yourselves.

If it was good enough for Ritchie Valens, it’s good enough for me.

I wanted the Brady Bunch "Time for Change": When it's time to change (when it's time to change) Don't fight the tide, go along for the ride Don't ya see When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange Who you are and what you're gonna be
