It’s not mandatory so no one should get mad if you don’t show up but I wonder how many times the really great players ever skipped otas. I wonder how often brees manning and Brady skipped it. Hell I wonder how many times patriot players skip in general. I’m sure there’s a correlation between guys who take every chance to get better and those who win. Just a thought though

He was given the playbook on day 1. Already knows most of the players. Let’s piss off your best player coach.

Sooo Freddie Kitchens decides to install ‘The Offense’ during OTA’s?? What a dumbass... How bout the NFL stop using the term voluntary and start making OTA’s mandatory... Save yourself the heartache lmao

As a Steelers fan, I approve of his actions.

It's easy to sum it up when you're just talking about practice. We're sitting in here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we in here talking about practice. I mean, listen, we're talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, we talking about practice. Not a game. Not, not … Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last. Not the game, but we're talking about practice, man. I mean, how silly is that? … And we talking about practice. I know I supposed to be there. I know I'm supposed to lead by example... I know that... And I'm not.. I'm not shoving it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I do. I honestly do... But we're talking about practice man. What are we talking about? Practice? We're talking about practice, man

I requested an Admin for this comment for it was overly appropriate. To the point that it's purpose will elude the majority, leaving it nothing more than spam.

It is voluntary, but the team is making a huge investment in him. They don’t want to get to the point when camp opens and he doesn’t know the offense. They don’t want him to sit! He should be making more of an effort.

Voluntary or not, it's a bad look

The voluntary team activities are like the united way "voluntary" donations at work. You don't have to...but there will be consequences if not.

We should take over/under bets on how long it will take before the first public argument on the sideline between him and Baker.

"Voluntary"...If you want him there, make it mandatory. He can't learn the plays, bench em. Stop bitching. Really don't get the OBJ hate on here. Blows my mind.

Yeah, I'm pretty damn confused. This coach is acting like a scared baby. If OBJ starts missing anything mandatory, on a regular basis, then hoot and holler all you want.

Or, one could think you're headed to a new team, a new town...maybe I should show up. You could let the world know you give a shart about your craft and all that's new to you like your new team mates, the new offense.

Don't start your self righteous BS. The word "voluntary" is in the workout description.

Not an OBJ (or LSU) fan... but voluntary still means voluntary, right? If baw doesn't know the playbook when actual camp opens, then unload on him.

That seems too rational of a thought, for most.
