didn't some team do that to us years ago for one of our home games, and said they wanted to wear white, which forced us to wear purple? Was it Spurrier, or am I dreaming that?

Nope you’re correct. Spurrier was the only one I can remember who did that.

LSU wore gold jerseys in 1996 against Vandy after they refused to let them wear white out of spite for hiring away DiNardo.

I recall in 2000 with Spurrier wanted to wear white at home and made LSU wear purple - classic Spurrier lol
