Who Was Ranked 1 Of The 10 Most 'Hostile' Places To Play In College Football?
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
Bleacher Report ranked the top 10 most “hostile” places to play in college football today. You can check out the whole list here, but here was their number one...
quote:

Playing the Alabama Crimson Tide under Nick Saban has been a challenge regardless of venue, but teams having to play at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa might as well be prepared to add a loss.

Since 2010, the Crimson Tide have gone 65-5, with only one of those losses coming since 2015. That loss came at the hands of the undefeated LSU Tigers last season in a tough 46-41 defeat, with a hobbling Tua Tagovailoa trying to play through a high ankle sprain.

It's just objectively false. Very corporate and clean atmosphere that was not intimidating at all. Impressive, but not intimidating.

Another reason why Bleacher Report is fricking horrible

Jalen Hurts and Greg McElroy have been quoted as saying Reynolds Razorback Stadium was the loudest atmosphere they ever played in.

So because Saban bitches about the shitty student section and despises the blue bloods they are the most intimidating??? GTFO. UF and UGA are flat out more intimidating. Hell Auburn has 20K less fans and get just as loud. Tuscaloosa is annoying for visiting fans but not it's not intimidating. Stupid list.

Wish I could make a couple Gifs of Tua jumping up and down after his two sort of lucky long strikes for Tds. Didn't look so "hobbled"

He can still jump and be hobbled by an injury. He was a game time decision all week and simply wasn’t 100%. Not saying we would’ve won with him at 100% but it would’ve helped. Now, if you’re simply arguing that he was 100%, I can’t help you. You just ‘tarded, if that’s your argument.

I don't think Bryant-Denny is the most intimidating though. It gets loud but I'd say Penn State, Ohio State or even Baton Rouge at their best day is > Tuscaloosa.

Even Baton Rouge? LOL! Baton Rouge is second to none!

good record sure... but that place is a morgue compared to Tiger Stadium when talking about crowd noise

lol, 1 win outta 9 and it's "your house"? Comical. Go look up how many times 'Bama has won in Baton Rouge historically. I'll wait...

This article confuses a teams success at home versus the most hostile places to play. Bryant-Denny is not the most hostile environment just because Alabama has been historically good under Saban.

Larry Leo has never been to most of these stadiums he does not have a clue.

with a hobbling Tua Tagovailoa trying to play through a high ankle sprain... Excuses. LSU was going to beat them even if he was 100%

Haha Bama is not one of the top 5 or 6 places in the SEC. Beautiful stadium but they have a fan base that has no idea how to cheer or get load. If it is not some kind of planned chant or routine you don't even know they are there. The three best places in the SEC are Tiger Stadium, the Swamp and Auburn and right now its not close.

Idk about this one. I went to Tuscaloosa this past season and sure it’s loud but it’s not overwhelming and they get quite quickly. I have been to Auburn twice and both times they were louder in a stadium with 20000 less: if it’s just based on record turn sure the gumps but if it is loudness, etc., then no. Not even close

It was pretty loud when 17 ran that punt back, but not as loud as TS in a similar situation.

Nothing is like Tiger Stadium. But I think Auburn is louder than Bryant-Denny.

Is there not a difference between hostile and actually being able to win at the stadium?

Their record is identica home, away and neutral sites over the past 5 years. 2 post season loses, 2 away loses and 2 home loses. 100k grown men shaking pompoms is not intimidating.

101k of grown men and women shaking pompoms is quite intimidating. Their past 6 loses, 2 at home, 2 away and 2 neutral site.

This is a shite list. Boise State over Florida?

The more offensive crime is UCF over Florida. That's downright laughable. At least Boise has the god awful Smurf turf that's hostile on the eyes.
