According to On3 Sports, Arch Manning tops the list of highest-earning college football players through NIL deals. Oh, and here's another fun fact about how much he's made...

However or whoever wrote this deal up must've never saw him take a snap in HS. Way overrated. Had unlimited resources to succeed too. He's nothing but a name.

This could end up like an investment in FTX. The kid is completely unproven.

Every Manning born goes for the most money every time but this may not work as planned as evidenced by Tex AM nil deal.

Alot of guys will make more money based on hype coming from high school to college then they will ever make again in their lifetime.

Still a ton of under the table money not being accounted for if rumors are true....current UTX QB getting 4mil, I think the UT QB recruit rumors have him up in the 8mil range.

Wish people wanting so much change in established institutions would just be told to create their own, if it's such a winning formula.

Sadly top level CFB won't ever be the same. My hope has been smaller schools will be forced to cut ties, and says they are going back to the basics. These kids sign contracts that say they can't get nil money or anything else that counters the school like HS deals the signed are voided. Then I can just find one of the schools to support.

As we've learned lately...can't put that genie back in the bottle once she slides down that slippery pole.

Travis Hunter made 1.7 in NIL, to play at a program that probably made 1.7 last year.

3.7m to sit bench as a 3rd stringer. It's a great country!

I love it. All the bleeding hearts that said they should get paid, they make the money for the school, this isn't fair, it'll just be a few thousand dollars and were so ignorant to how this would be handled by win at all costs rich boosters. The ONLY way, and credit the NCAA for knowing this years ago, was to have absolutely nothing legal as far as compensation. yea, yea money under the table but at east you had to hide it. The NCAA knew this would blow up into this. There had to be ZERO compensation other than room, board, meals and a small stipend or it would be chaos. As the old saying goes you can't get a little bit pregnant.

I actually wish the Texass donors would have paid him more than that. When donors see that their "investments" are not providing the returns they were expecting, they will be a little more cautious with their financial decisions. Pay him more Texas!

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking the same way. When biz sees what a sorry ROI this is the pay to players will drop and finally find it's level, it's equilibrium...way, way lower.

BUT, I also think that this can become a lot of fans favorite charity...where they're not expecting an ROI...it's throw away money anyway. Which could keep prices high. IDK.

These amounts won't last. Ohio State boosters are already pulling back after getting burned by Ewers. Rich people didn't get rich by getting burned and not getting what they paid for.

So the guy who went 7-24 against LCAand threw for like 41 yards is getting the most NIL money?

Something seriously wrong here.

I think they're meeting in D.C. about NIL this week.

They are meeting in DC this week but as Ross Dellenger said on Greg McElroys show this morning, most of them had to have NIL explained to them from the start. They basically knew nothing AND a large segment of the democrats in this meeting believe not only should the players receive whatever they can from NIL but should participate in conference revenue sharing. It would be more lucrative to be a college player than a pro.
