Sounds Like Tommy Tuberville Won't Back Any Legislation That Requires NCAA To Pay Athletes
Rob Leifheit-USA TODAY Sports
Doesn't seem Tommy Tuberville will be backing any sort of legislation that requires the NCAA to pay athletes anytime soon...

The dumbest thing that Alabama residents have done is let this man become US Senator.

@blzr, you seem a bit upset. You don’t have to melt and curse because someone has a different opinion than you, snowflake. God bless.

This is the truth. The guy is a bumbling idiot. It’s sad that, be it with Ds or Rs, so many folks blindly vote for a letter instead of a person.

I agree with the coach on this one.

Tuberville only supports “farm systems” where the “field hands” are prohibited from receiving market rate compensation.

If athletes want money for play, there is a way to do this, turn pro and go to minors

Take names off jersey. Then they can pay for part of their tuition. If you do not think paying ateletes is not going hurt the game you are sadly mistaken. Check back with SMU history. The more the school can offer an Atheneum the more likely he or she will go there. Then the schools that can not pay the same amount will either have close athelic programs or be lousy teams

The left generates more Give-A-Way programs given to illegals, dead beats & dead heads, foreign countries, and etc. All funded by the taxpayers of this country. What a Ponzi Scheme!

Tommy is wrong in this one. This isn't 1985 anymore. Too much money in college sports to still say it's all amateur.

two questions... 1. How will you regulate it... 2. explain how you can keep it fair to everyone else

Fair to who? Fair to the Sun Belt? Is college football fair? How many schools have a $28 million dollar locker room? How many schools have 100k plus stadiums. How many teams have full time chefs? College football is not fair.

Where to begin with this one... That is pretty rich coming from a guy who conned the system to make millions and millions being a bad coach (Jimmy Sexton says hello). Look at every job he has ever had. He had to quit or was fired from every single one of them except Ole Miss. Second part... Yes it is sad he is actually a law maker that doesn't know anything about law. He couldn't even name the 3 branches of government. True story. My dog can win on the Republican ballot in Alabama. It really is that easy. Just say you are Pube and you are a lock for the job. Works every time.
