We've already seen the pics of Arch Manning's Texas visit that has him suited up in a full Longhorns uniform. Now, a report from the weekend says that apparently new Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian knocked it out of the park...
quote:

“I think they hit a home run, I think they are squarely in the mix for Arch Manning,” Pate said of Texas, via 247Sports. “But eventually, they’re going to have to have something tangible. Because there’s going to be too much tangible result to be seen from Alabama and the likes of Clemson. Texas has got to get it done. They have to show you something in weeks one and two because if you are to come out of summer on this massive recruiting hype wave and then you start to show product on the field earlier than anyone expected, that starts a snowball effect. That’s how you really start to take off in recruiting even in year one under a new staff and that’s how incredible things can happen.”

I guess he wants to go 1-3 against Oklahoma for his career.

well his uncle went 0-4 against their rival Florida, and he's one of the best QB's of all time, and his other uncle went 1-2 against rival LSU, and he's got 2 super bowl rings.

If he's 0-3 against OU he had probably better stay the 4th year.

LSU has no chance. I can't see him coming to BR, especially with 2 generations of angst against LSU. The only way he would even be tempted, would be if Joe Brady was still here.

I'd say it's more what our QB room will look like in the next 2 years than angst. They want him playing by mid-year freshman year.

The state of Louisiana has been awfully good to the Manning families. Maybe some reciprocity might be in order....

Ha ha. Texas is a 7-6 team year in and year out.

I have said all along that it would be ole miss or texas. Lsu there is 0 chance, tn 0 chance. Clemson and bama would be a wildcard with their coaches. But texas or ole miss is where my money would be

If LSU didn’t have Walker Howard we might be able to pull Manning. But he is not going to want to be a back up for multiple years

His recruitment reminds me of the movie Johnny Be Goode except his family is filthy rich and doesn't need the money. Come to LSU, Arch!

Texas is a good future financially, after football. I know they don't need it, but still is. He'll still have the connections in LA, so expanding the family legacy out to TX will only be better. And he can play in a league that is more offense minded. And gets plenty of hot TX poon cause the Manning boys def love slaying all thrown at them.

Yeah, I think this one makes a ton of sense as well as far as later life non-football moves. Not so much Athens, GA or Clemson, SC.

LSU should say... we don't have time for these games... but they'll just play interested.
